NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship
The National Wrestling Alliance’s tribute, quoted by F4W, says Regal defeated Denny Brown for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship and held the title in 1986. The tribute described him as a “flashy and charismatic grappler” whose reign “pav[ed] a path for generations to come.”
AWA tag team title
F4W reports that Regal and Jimmy Garvin held the AWA Tag Team Championship after defeating The Road Warriors. They later lost the belts to Curt Hennig and Scott Hall. F4W also notes that Regal had AWA and NWA junior heavyweight title reigns.
Why did Regal leave wrestling?
F4W recounts that, in a 2021 Hannibal TV interview, Regal said he left the ring around age 40 to avoid further bodily damage and to be present for his family. The report says he later worked in sales until retirement; that employment account is based on the interview rather than an independently documented work history.
