Amazon Brazil’s Book Friday 2025 ran from May 15 through May 19, 2025. Amazon said the event included more than 35,000 physical books and eBooks, with discounts of up to 70%. The promotion has ended; those figures describe Amazon’s advertised offer, not a typical saving or a current deal.
What Amazon Book Friday 2025 was
“Book Friday” refers here to Amazon Brazil’s book promotion, not Amazon’s US Black Friday event. In a May 15, 2025 post, Amazon Brazil described this as its 11th Book Friday and announced offers on physical books and eBooks for May 15–19. Amazon Brazil’s announcement said there were more than 35,000 books and eBooks, with discounts of up to 70%.
Both numbers are Amazon’s promotional claims. “Up to 70%” is a maximum advertised discount; the announcement does not show that every title received that reduction, establish an average saving, or independently verify item-level price histories.
Which books Amazon highlighted
Amazon’s examples spanned classic literature, Brazilian writing, trilogies, romance and fiction. Named titles included:

The announcement identifies titles, not specific editions or translations. It does not establish which format, language, edition, or listing was the best value.
Why this is separate from Amazon’s US Black Friday
Amazon’s US holiday promotion was a different event, announced for November 20 through December 1, 2025. Amazon advertised up to 80% off Kindle books and up to 65% off print books for that US event. Those dates and discount ceilings do not apply to Brazil’s May Book Friday. Amazon’s US announcement is available from its press center.
