Her interest was not a production announcement. The interview named no studio, platform, director, cast, release date, or greenlight. Queen framed the project as something to explore in the form that best served the story, rather than a film already in production.
Queen said she wanted her daughter to have a “real and reliable” record of her life, and wanted the story to include both her career and intimate experiences. As she put it: “Quiero capturar todo para que mi hija tenga una documentación real y fidedigna, porque cuando uno se muere dicen que uno era el más bueno, y yo quiero estar en vida incluida en todo lo que tiene que ver con lo creativo de la miniserie, ya sea miniserie o película, la parte que vayamos a escoger mejor, que todo sea real, que todo sea que la mujer se pueda proyectar y ver ‘no, ella no es Ivy Queen porque era la hija de fulana y fulano; ella viene de Añasco y todo eso fue lo que pasó’, y quiero cubrir todo, desde cosas íntimas de mujer, porque yo he crecido en frente del mundo.”

What was Dayanara Torres doing in film and podcasting in 2024?
Padres was an acting project, not an Ivy Queen-style biopic
Torres played Virginia in Padres, a separate film. In the story, Virginia donates her eggs to help her brother and his partner have a child. Torres told El Universal she was drawn to the film’s depiction of the effort, love, and desire involved when same-sex couples seek to build a family. The outlet reported that the film was scheduled to premiere on Lifetime on June 16, 2024; that historical premiere report does not establish where the film is available now.

El lab de la felicidad returned for a second season
In an October 7, 2024 interview, People en Español reported that Torres’s podcast returned for season two and was available on Uforia Podcasts and other platforms. She said episodes explored topics such as relationships between parents and children, society, phones and social media, meditation, and breathing. Torres presented the show as a way to share tools and advice, while acknowledging she was learning from it herself: “Yo estoy haciendo este pódcast, yo no soy una experta, y yo te digo que cada uno de estos episodios a mí me llenan y a mí me ayudan con algo.”

She described her sons’ departures from home as a difficult transition, particularly after Ryan graduated, and connected that period with her decision to move to Miami. The interview also discussed the family’s arrangements at that time, including Cristian’s move to Los Angeles and Ryan’s plans then; those details should be read as a snapshot from 2023, not as current family logistics.
