Sisu is a brutally violent World War II action film, but the sequel is no longer upcoming: Sisu: Road to Revenge opened in theaters on November 21, 2025. The sequel currently has a 93% Rotten Tomatoes critics score—not the 94% reported in a November 2025 article—and Tubi’s title page now says the original is unavailable. Streaming access depends on your location.

What are Sisu and its sequel about?

Directed and written by Jalmari Helander, Sisu (2022) is set in northern Finland during the final days of World War II. A solitary prospector crosses paths with retreating Nazis, who take his gold and discover that he is a former commando. Rotten Tomatoes lists the film as rated R for language, gore, and strong bloody violence. It is action entertainment set against a wartime backdrop; the available sources do not establish it as a historically accurate account. Rotten Tomatoes’ film listing

Sony describes Sisu: Road to Revenge as a 2025 action-thriller sequel. Aatami Korpi dismantles the house where his family was killed, loads it onto a truck to rebuild elsewhere, and is pursued by the Red Army commander who killed them. Sony’s synopsis begins: “A war survivor returns to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war.” Sony Pictures’ official film page

Is Sisu free to stream on Tubi now?

Not according to Tubi’s currently retrieved title page, which describes the 2022 film as 1 hour 32 minutes and rated R, then reports “content unavailable.” A ScreenRant report said Sisu ranked ninth on Tubi’s daily top ten chart on November 20, 2025, when it was available there for free. That is a dated chart position and availability report, not evidence that the film remains free to watch or that it has a particular audience size today. How to choose between the two films

  • For the original’s premise: choose Sisu for the lone prospector’s confrontation with retreating Nazis in northern Finland.
  • For the sequel’s premise: choose Sisu: Road to Revenge for Korpi’s attempt to move his family’s house while pursued by the commander responsible for their deaths.
  • For ratings: compare critics with critics and verified audience ratings with audience ratings; the two measures are not interchangeable, and both can change.
  • For viewing access: verify availability in your local catalog rather than relying on an older free-streaming report.
