Other celebrated cars associated with his collection include race-winning Porsches and rare road cars, but the evidence spans different years: some cars were consigned from his collection in 2016, while others were later sold as former Seinfeld vehicles. These records do not establish a current inventory or a complete view inside his garage.
The one-off Porsche reported in Seinfeld’s possession
911 Classic Club Coupe
In June 2023, Porsche reported that Seinfeld had personally taken possession of the 911 Classic Club Coupe, a one-of-one Sonderwunsch project created by Porsche Classic and the Porsche Club of America. Its starting point was a 1998 911 Carrera, but the finished car combines that car’s basis with chassis, brakes, and engine from a 996.2-generation 911 GT3. Porsche specified a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six producing 381 horsepower. Porsche’s 2023 account documents the build and his handover; it does not establish the car’s status beyond that report.
The car stands out not simply for its rarity, but for its deliberate blend of classic 911 styling and later GT3 hardware. It is a bespoke road car rather than a factory-production model or a competition car.
Race and prototype Porsches recorded in the 2016 consignment
Gooding & Company’s February 2016 release named 17 vehicles consigned from Seinfeld’s collection. The list is a dated auction record, not a current ownership roster. Its most striking competition entries show how the collection reached beyond road-going 911s into Porsche’s racing history.

1973 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am Spyder
The 917/30 is the list’s Can-Am racer: a purpose-built open competition car rather than a road car adapted for the track. Its presence in Gooding’s consignment record documents that it was offered from Seinfeld’s collection in 2016; the release does not establish who owns it now.
1959 Porsche 718 RSK
The 718 RSK represents an earlier, compact sports-racing era. Gooding’s list identifies the model and year among the cars consigned from Seinfeld’s collection, placing it alongside later and larger Porsche racers.

1990 Porsche 962C
The 962C brings the story into the endurance-racing period. Like the 917/30 and 718 RSK, it is evidence of a car included in the 2016 offering, not proof of current ownership.
1970 Porsche 908/03, chassis 008
In a 2018 interview with Porsche’s Christophorus, Seinfeld named “The 1970 Targa Florio-winning Porsche 908/03 chassis number 008” as his most treasured possession. That is a revealing personal choice: the car’s significance was tied to a specific victory and chassis, not merely its place in a model lineage. The quotation records his answer at the time; it should not be read as confirmation that he still owns the car. The 2018 interview also captures his broader admiration for the 911, which he called “a true sports car” with “complete engineering” and “brilliant design language.”

Gooding’s complete 2016 consignment list also includes road-going cars, among them Porsche Speedsters, and a 1964 Volkswagen Camper. Seinfeld described that group at the time as “a pinnacle of mechanical culture” and said many were among the best examples in existence. The statement refers to the cars he was consigning, not every car he had owned or owns.
Road-going cars later documented as former Seinfeld vehicles
1994 Porsche 911 Speedster in Maritime Blue
RM Sotheby’s records a 1994 911 Speedster as originally owned by Seinfeld and reports that it sold for $511,000. The auction catalog gives useful context for its color: 469 examples were built for the US market in 1994, and 37 were finished in special-order Maritime Blue. Those figures and the sale price describe this model and this historical transaction; the auction result is not a current estimate of the car’s value or of Seinfeld’s collection. 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster
A separate RM Sotheby’s record identifies a 1989 911 Speedster as previously owned by Seinfeld, says it left his collection in 2000, and records a sale price of $307,500. The catalog reports 2,065 Speedsters built for the 1989 model year. As with the later car, the auction price is a result from a particular sale, not a present-day valuation. RM Sotheby’s lot record
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the records establish—and what they cannot answer
The documented highlights fall into distinct categories: Porsche reported the Classic Club Coupe handover in 2023; Gooding listed 17 cars consigned from Seinfeld’s collection in 2016; a 2018 interview records his choice of the 908/03 as his most treasured possession; and auction catalogs later identify two Speedsters as former Seinfeld cars. Keeping those dates and statuses separate matters more than trying to assemble them into a single present-day garage snapshot.

These sources do not establish how many cars Seinfeld owns now, which of the 2016 consignments he retained or reacquired, a definitive “rarest” car, or the current value of his collection. The documented cars are compelling in their own right, but they are not a verified complete inventory.
