About this puzzle
The Mini’s compact grid makes crossings particularly useful: where an entry seems unexpected, check the letters supplied by its intersecting answers. Forbes contributor Kris Holt described the Mini as usually having three to five clues in each direction on a five-by-five grid, while noting that some puzzles, especially Saturday editions, are larger. Forbes’ July 16 guide and Parade’s July 15 guide agree on this puzzle’s answers. Parade’s late-evening Eastern time publication date was the night before the Wednesday puzzle date.
