In the Dragon Ball Super manga, Ultra Ego is his highest form represented in the supplied official sources; in the anime, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Evolved) is a separate top-tier candidate. No official source establishes a definitive winner between them—or a single ranking spanning every continuity. The ranking below is an editorial comparison, not an official power scale.
How this ranking works
The order weighs each form’s demonstrated role in major battles and Vegeta’s character arc, while keeping the manga and anime versions distinct. Transformation names do not provide a reliable mathematical scale: the official sources cited here give no power levels or multipliers for these forms. Where the evidence does not settle a cross-continuity comparison, the ranking says so rather than treating it as fact.
Vegeta’s strongest Super forms, ranked
1. Ultra Ego — Dragon Ball Super manga
Ultra Ego is the strongest Vegeta form in the manga continuity covered by the official sources. Vegeta develops it through training with Beerus, and its power of destruction awakens during his battle with Granolah. That makes it the clearest manga-specific answer to which form represents Vegeta at his highest level in the material cited here. The official recaps establish its origin and story context, but do not give it a numerical multiplier or say that it outranks every form across the anime and other continuities. See the official Dragon Ball Super story recap and Granolah battle recap.
2. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Evolved) — anime
Evolved belongs on the anime side of the comparison, not in the manga’s form list. It is a leading candidate for Vegeta’s strongest anime form, but the cited official material does not establish that it is stronger than manga Ultra Ego. The continuity distinction is explicit: in a 2025 official-site interview, Dragon Ball Super co-creator Toyotarou said of the Evolved Vegeta he illustrated, “In particular, this version of Vegeta doesn’t exist in the manga, and it was my first time drawing this form.” Read the official Toyotarou interview.
#1 Best Overall

- Recreate iconic scenes from the anime
- Look for more characters from the Evolve series and grow your collection. For Ages 4 plus
3. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan Blue)
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan—commonly called Super Saiyan Blue—is the foundation for Vegeta’s later Super-era transformations. The official Dragon Ball site explains that a Super Saiyan God who becomes a Super Saiyan attains this form; its blue hair and pupils inspired the “Super Saiyan Blue” nickname. The official story recap says Vegeta and Goku attained it after training under Whis. It ranks below the two leading candidates here because the cited story material presents it as an earlier stage of Vegeta’s Super-era development, not as a confirmed match for Ultra Ego or Evolved. See the official form explanation and Super story recap.
Where Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta fits
Super Saiyan 4 belongs in a separate continuity discussion rather than being inserted into the Super ranking. An official game announcement lists Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as a character in Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra; it does not compare his power with Super manga or anime forms, or establish an all-continuity order. The announcement supports identifying SS4 Vegeta as game material, not ranking him above or below Ultra Ego or Evolved. See the official game announcement.

What the ranking can—and cannot—settle
- Manga answer: Ultra Ego is the highest Vegeta form represented in the manga sources cited here.
- Anime answer: Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Evolved) is a top-tier anime form, but the cited sources do not establish a winner between it and manga Ultra Ego.
- Across all Dragon Ball continuities: there is no definitive official ranking in the cited material. Super Saiyan 4 is kept separate because the game listing does not provide a comparative power assessment.
