No. Toei Animation’s announcements reviewed through October 4, 2026, do not confirm a separate World Trigger Season 4. What Toei has announced is a reboot titled World Trigger 1st Season, which starts the story again from the original comic’s first chapter.
What Toei has confirmed
Toei announced the World Trigger Reboot Project on December 5, 2025. Its English announcement called it “a new coming chapter for the anime,” but the project itself is identified as World Trigger 1st Season, not Season 4. Toei’s Japanese project description calls it a completely new anime adaptation and says it starts with chapter one of Daisuke Ashihara’s original comic, adapting the story through the beginning of the B-Rank Wars arc. Toei’s announcement and official Japanese project description establish the reboot’s identity and scope.
How the reboot differs from a fourth season
A fourth season would ordinarily mean a continuation of the earlier television anime. Toei’s announced project instead returns to the beginning of the source story. The confirmed development is therefore a reboot, not a continuation officially designated Season 4.

May 2026: teaser released
On May 11, Toei announced the official release of a teaser for the Black Trigger Capture Arc. It introduces Yuma Kuga, Osamu Mikumo, Chika Amatori, Yuichi Jin, and Replica. A teaser is evidence of progress on the reboot, but it does not announce a separate fourth season or establish a broadcast date. Read Toei’s May teaser update.
Does this rule out a future continuation?
No. The announcements confirm the reboot project and provide updates on its opening arc; they do not say whether Toei will later produce a continuation adapting material beyond the earlier television seasons. A later sequel is unresolved: it should not be described as confirmed, canceled, or scheduled based on these announcements alone.
