May 2025 brought a mix of new series, returning seasons, films, specials and older movies newly arriving on streaming services. Notable picks included The Four Seasons on Netflix, Poker Face season 2 on Peacock, Murderbot on Apple TV+, and Prime Video’s Another Simple Favor. This U.S.-focused guide covers the month’s schedule as announced at the time; it does not confirm that any title is still available today.
How to read May’s streaming schedule
“New” can mean different things on a streaming calendar. A series premiere introduces a show, a returning season continues an existing one, and a library addition is an older film or program newly arriving on a service. Some releases also arrived in batches of episodes rather than all at once.
The selections below span eight major U.S. services: Netflix, Max, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock and Paramount+. The dates describe the May 2025 schedules reported by Boston.com’s guide, updated May 16, 2025, alongside official platform schedules where available. They are not a ranking, and release arrangements may differ outside the United States.

For a quick shortlist, start with the format and mood you want: Another Simple Favor is a film, Clarkson’s Farm is a returning season, and Tucci in Italy is a travel series. If you want a new episode of an ongoing story rather than a complete season drop, Disney’s Andor schedule was split across May 6 and 13. For older films, treat a date in the calendar as a streaming arrival, not proof the film was newly released in 2025.
