But the listing does not confirm a native YouTube integration, continuous unattended operation for 24 hours, how the app behaves when the phone sleeps or is backgrounded, or automatic reconnection after a failure. What has to be true for a 24/7 stream to work
- The app must keep encoding: A phone-based stream depends on the app continuing to run. Screen-off behavior, background restrictions, heat, charging and power interruptions can all affect a long session; the app listing does not document its behavior in these situations.
- The connection must sustain outbound video: Measure upload at the actual streaming location and at relevant times. An advertised broadband tier, especially a download-speed figure, does not establish stable, continuous upload capacity.
- YouTube must accept the stream: YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Its live-stream rules also require compliance with Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, with additional account and age restrictions described in its documentation.
- Interruptions must be handled: A 24/7 channel needs a plan for network outages, app closure and YouTube disconnects. The Astra listing does not establish automatic recovery, so verify it rather than relying on it.

- Check channel eligibility: In YouTube Studio, confirm live streaming is enabled and that the channel has no current live-streaming restriction. Follow YouTube’s own setup instructions for obtaining and using a stream key; treat it as a secret and do not share it.
- Measure upload where the phone will stream: Run an upload-speed test from that location, including at the times the channel is expected to operate. Choose a stream quality and bitrate your connection can sustain with room for variation and other household network use. YouTube recommends matching encoder quality to connection reliability rather than choosing settings from the broadband plan’s advertised speed alone.
- Test a representative broadcast: Start a private or unlisted test at the intended resolution and bitrate, using representative audio and motion. JioFiber plan terms: check the plan you actually have
Jio’s cited postpaid-plan FAQ describes unlimited high-speed data for home use and says RJIL may discontinue data service for misuse, fraudulent, unauthorised or commercial use. That wording is specific to the FAQ’s postpaid-plan context; it should not be applied automatically to every JioFiber plan. The FAQ does not determine whether a particular monetized YouTube channel counts as commercial use. If the broadcast is monetized or part of a business, ask Jio about the terms that apply to your plan before depending on residential service.

Compare the approaches on source format, recovery after disconnection, local power and broadband needs, plan terms and cost. Neither approach removes the need to follow YouTube’s content policies.
