How to Make CameraFi Live Repeat a Video on YouTube Without a Gap

CameraFi Live’s Android guide supports video files as broadcast sources, but does not document automatic repeating or gapless playback. Here’s how to test your version and what to try if the clip stops.

Short answer: CameraFi Live’s Android guide lets you choose a video file as a broadcast source, but it does not document a repeat control or guarantee a gapless restart. Check your installed version for a repeat option, then test the ending and restart in a private or unlisted YouTube rehearsal. CameraFi’s Replay feature is not a way to loop a prerecorded file.

Choose the right CameraFi feature

CameraFi uses similar-sounding terms for two different jobs. Its Android guide describes Video as a broadcast source that can include video files; the source switcher lets you move among video, image, and crop sources. It does not document a repeat setting or say that a file restarts automatically when it ends. CameraFi Live beginner guide for Android

Replay, by contrast, is for replaying a short buffer of recent live footage. CameraFi’s January 13, 2025 Android announcement describes a buffer adjustable from 3 to 30 seconds, optional autoplay when you press REPLAY, and a return to the live screen when playback finishes. CameraFi says: “After the replay finishes, it will automatically end and switch back to the live screen.” That is a highlight-replay workflow, not evidence that a prerecorded video file loops. How to try repeating a video in CameraFi Live on Android

  1. Open the broadcast’s Video/source controls. Select the video file you want to broadcast. CameraFi’s guide confirms video files are selectable on Android, but its published instructions do not establish a universal current menu path or repeat control. CameraFi Live beginner guide for Android
  2. Look for a repeat or loop control in your installed version. If one is present, enable it before going live. Menu labels and availability may vary by version; do not assume that selecting a file automatically makes it repeat.
  3. Rehearse privately or unlisted on YouTube. Let the file reach its ending and observe whether it restarts, how long the boundary takes, and whether the audio continues cleanly. A rehearsal is the practical way to check your own app and file; CameraFi’s guide does not promise a seamless transition.
  4. If there is no repeat option, use an external continuous feed only if your setup supports it. The Android beta RTMP input described by CameraFi can receive a feed from another device or app. This is a separate route, not a built-in file-loop guarantee.

Android beta workaround: send CameraFi a continuous RTMP feed

On June 30, 2026, CameraFi announced external RTMP input for Android beta. Its announcement describes adding an RTMP source in the source switcher, then using the displayed address or QR information with a sending device or app. Examples CameraFi names include OBS, vMix, PTZ/IP cameras, drones, other phones, and hardware encoders. Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

For a prerecorded loop, the external sender must itself keep producing the feed. This approach may let you send a continuously playing source into CameraFi, but CameraFi’s announcement does not establish that playback will be gapless or that every sender, network, or device combination will work. Test the complete chain privately before relying on it for a public broadcast.

Connect CameraFi Live to YouTube

Looping the source and sending a stream to YouTube are separate tasks. CameraFi’s August 18, 2020 tutorial for Custom RTMP says to retrieve the stream URL and key in YouTube Studio on a PC, then enter them in CameraFi Live’s Custom RTMP mode. The tutorial is older, so current YouTube Studio or CameraFi labels may differ. Follow the current on-screen instructions, and keep the stream key private: anyone with access to it may be able to broadcast to your channel. CameraFi YouTube RTMP tutorial

Setting the YouTube destination correctly does not make the video source repeat. Confirm both the outgoing broadcast and the source transition during your rehearsal.

iPhone and iPad: do not assume the Android workflow applies

CameraFi’s iOS beginner guide lists the built-in phone camera and USB external camera as Video sources; it does not describe Android’s video-file source workflow. The external RTMP input announcement specifically concerns Android beta. The available documentation therefore does not establish that iOS offers the same file-repeat or RTMP-input options. Check the controls in your own iOS version before planning a broadcast. CameraFi Live beginner guide for iOS

Check rights before broadcasting a prerecorded video

Use a video you created or have permission to stream. CameraFi’s FAQ warns that broadcasting another person’s prerecorded content can create copyright risk. A video being available online, or having music embedded in it, does not by itself establish that you have the rights to rebroadcast it. CameraFi FAQ

Troubleshoot a video that stops or shows a visible seam

  • The video stops at the end: The documented Android file-source guide does not confirm automatic repeat. Check your app for a repeat control; if there is none, consider the Android beta external RTMP route or a cloud service that loops uploaded videos.
  • Replay returns to the live screen: That is how CameraFi describes Replay. Select the Video source for a prerecorded file instead; Replay is not a substitute for file looping.
  • The video repeats but the transition is visible: Test the same file and setup in a private or unlisted rehearsal. The available CameraFi documentation does not guarantee a gapless boundary.
  • The RTMP source does not appear or connect: Confirm that your CameraFi version has access to the Android beta feature, and follow the address or QR setup shown in CameraFi. Check that the sending device or app is still producing a feed on the network.
  • The source works but YouTube is not receiving the broadcast: Recheck the YouTube stream URL and key in CameraFi’s Custom RTMP settings. Treat CameraFi’s 2020 tutorial as a guide to the general connection, not assurance that today’s labels are identical.
