If PRISM exposes a manual or maximum bitrate, use 4,000 kbps as a quality-oriented starting point. This is general PRISM guidance—not an India-tested preset—so adjust it to the stability of your actual upload connection and your phone’s performance.
Choose settings that balance picture quality and stability
Resolution and bitrate affect how much detail you send and how much upload bandwidth the stream needs. Frame rate affects motion smoothness and the work your phone has to do. PRISM’s official guidance offers these general reference points; it does not report measurements from Indian mobile networks.
| Setting | PRISM guidance | Practical trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| 720p | 4,000 kbps as a quality-oriented recommendation; its FAQ also gives a general 2–4 Mbps range. | Less demanding than 1080p under similar conditions, making it a reasonable starting resolution when stability matters. |
| 1080p | 6,000 kbps as a quality-oriented recommendation; its FAQ gives a general 4–6 Mbps range. | Provides more picture detail but needs a stronger, steadier upload connection and places more load on the phone. |
| 30 fps | PRISM recommends this for normal live broadcasting. | A sensible starting frame rate; PRISM says it is generally more stable than 60 fps under similar conditions. |
| 60 fps | No specific bitrate recommendation for this combination is established in the cited PRISM guidance. | Can make motion look smoother, but raises device and connection demands. |
PRISM’s FAQ gives broader general bitrate ranges of 1–2 Mbps for 360p, 2–4 Mbps for 720p, and 4–6 Mbps for 1080p. Its mobile stability guidance also lists estimated bandwidth ranges with ABP off: 0.1–1.5 Mbps at 360p, 0.1–2 Mbps at 480p, 0.1–2.5 or 0.1–4 Mbps at 720p, and 0.1–4 or 0.1–6 Mbps at 1080p. PRISM advises having bandwidth above the selected stream’s needs and says higher-quality streaming should have at least twice the specified bandwidth. Treat these as product guidance, not predictions of what a particular Indian carrier or location can sustain.

- Choose a streaming mode in PRISM Live Studio.
- Open the video quality or encoding controls available in that mode. Check resolution, bitrate, frame rate, and ABP before going live.
- Tap Ready to open the live-stream summary.
- Enter and save the required stream information, including the YouTube destination and stream details requested by the app.
- Review the summary, then tap Go Live.
PRISM’s adaptive-bitrate documentation identifies resolution, bitrate, frame rate, and ABP as factors in video quality. Its mobile YouTube setup guide covers connecting a YouTube stream; follow the current in-app prompts for account authorization or stream-key details.
Use ABP and tune settings against your real connection
Start with ABP on
PRISM describes Adaptive Bitrate Publish as a way to respond to changing network conditions and recommends leaving it enabled for novice streamers. It can help a stream continue more reliably as bandwidth degrades, but the picture may lose quality; a very weak connection can still result in poor video or instability.

For a first attempt on a connection that may vary, use 720p, 30 fps, and ABP on. If the app offers a manual or maximum bitrate, PRISM’s 4,000 kbps 720p recommendation is a quality-oriented reference, not a guarantee that your phone’s connection can hold that rate.
Raise quality only after a stable test
If your upload remains steady and the phone is encoding comfortably, try 1080p at 30 fps with PRISM’s 6,000 kbps quality-oriented reference if a manual or maximum bitrate is available. Do not assume that a short successful start proves a setting will remain stable throughout a longer broadcast.

Reduce settings gradually when the stream struggles
If you see instability or dropped frames, lower resolution or frame rate one step at a time and observe whether the stream improves. PRISM says 720p is typically more stable than 1080p under similar conditions, and 30 fps is generally more stable than 60 fps. Higher resolution and frame rate also put more strain on phones; PRISM’s FAQ notes that long, high-resolution broadcasts can cause heating.
Understand what viewers receive
The resolution and frame rate you choose are the settings for the stream you send. They do not establish that every YouTube viewer on a mobile connection will receive or watch at that exact resolution. PRISM’s cited guidance does not provide Indian viewer data-use figures, carrier performance data, or a basis for promising a particular audience-side quality. Choose a send quality your connection can sustain, and avoid assuming that a higher broadcast resolution is automatically better for every viewer.

Make a video playlist in PRISM My Studio
- Open My Studio and choose Playlist.
- Create a Video playlist, select the videos, and create the playlist.
- Adjust the order or seek to a particular position as needed.
- Use the saved playlist in your live stream. PRISM says saved playlists remain in My Studio for reuse.
- If you want only the video playback audio in the stream, use PRISM’s microphone-muting option as described in its mobile playlist guide.
PRISM’s documentation confirms that a video playlist can be played during a live stream, but it does not document an automatic repeat mode, a loop toggle, or what happens when playback reaches the end. A playlist is not by itself proof that the video will loop. Check the current app or a current official instruction before promising repeated playback.
PRISM also says its listed playback features—music, video, music playlist, video playlist, and image playlist—cannot be used together, and only one such play feature can be active at a time in the listed mobile modes. Plan the stream around that limitation.

Common problems and fixes
- The stream becomes unstable: Reduce resolution or frame rate gradually. If you are at 1080p, try 720p; if you are at 60 fps, try 30 fps. Keep ABP on when bandwidth is changing.
- The picture gets soft when ABP is enabled: Adaptive bitrate can reduce quality as network conditions worsen. Check whether the upload has stabilized before raising the target quality; if it has not, a lower, steadier setting may be preferable.
- The phone heats up or struggles during a long broadcast: High resolution and frame rate increase device workload. Reduce one of them and allow the device to cool if needed.
- The playlist stops at the end instead of repeating: The cited PRISM instructions do not establish automatic looping or a repeat control. Do not rely on a loop unless you have verified the behavior in your current app version.
- You cannot combine video playback with another playlist or playback feature: PRISM documents a one-play-feature-at-a-time restriction for the listed mobile modes. Choose the single feature needed for that stream.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is a pre-recorded video playing as a 24/7 YouTube livestream, PRISM’s mobile workflow is not the only option. StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home. It streams uploaded videos—not a live camera feed—and supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers. It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
