To stream recorded English-speaking classes continuously on YouTube, create a YouTube Live broadcast and send a lesson video or playlist to it through an encoder. You can run an encoder such as OBS on a computer, or use a cloud service such as StreamNeo so a computer at home does not have to stay on. First enable livestreaming on your channel, then create the broadcast, connect it with the YouTube stream URL and key, and check permissions for every item in the recordings.

Before you start: enable livestreaming

Check that your channel is eligible to livestream and enable the feature in YouTube Studio before your planned launch. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this step until the day you want the stream to begin. Current access requirements and restrictions can change; check YouTube’s livestreaming eligibility and restrictions and your channel’s Live Control Room.

Set up a continuous class stream

  1. Prepare the recordings. Put the classes in the intended order and check that each file plays correctly, including its audio. Decide whether you want one lesson to repeat or a playlist to cycle through. Check that your title and description accurately describe the classes.
  2. Create or schedule the YouTube broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule a live stream. Scheduling gives you a shareable destination before the broadcast starts.
  3. Choose an encoder. An encoder sends the recorded video to YouTube Live. YouTube lists OBS as free, open-source software for local encoding, and also lists cloud tools for prerecorded 24/7 streams. The computer-based method and the cloud option are described below.
  4. Connect the encoder. In the Live Control Room, get the stream URL and stream key, then enter them in the encoder’s YouTube connection settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it, and reset it if it is exposed. YouTube explains the encoder workflow in its guide to creating a live stream with an encoder.
  5. Check the incoming preview. Start the encoder’s output and confirm that the correct lesson, picture and audio appear in YouTube’s preview. Resolve any problems before you start the public broadcast.
  6. Start the broadcast and monitor it. Keep the encoder operating and check the stream and channel status. A 24/7 broadcast depends on the encoder and a continuing network path; YouTube does not promise uninterrupted service.

Choose how to keep the stream running

Option How it works Main trade-off
StreamNeo cloud service Upload recordings, add your YouTube stream key once, and start a cloud-based loop or playlist. No dedicated computer at home needs to stay on; it is a paid service after its one-day free trial, and its current terms should be checked before choosing a billing period.
OBS on a computer OBS sends the video from your computer to YouTube Live. YouTube identifies OBS as free, open-source software, but your computer, source files, power and network must remain available and the stream needs monitoring.
Another cloud encoder, such as Gyre A cloud service sends a prerecorded loop to YouTube Live. It avoids a dedicated local computer, but has separate terms and costs. Check the provider’s current documentation for playlist controls, recovery, storage limits and pricing.

YouTube’s encoder directory names OBS and Gyre for these use cases. Compare any service’s current features and terms rather than assuming that all cloud encoders offer the same controls or recovery behavior.

Run the stream from a local computer with OBS

With a local encoder, the computer is the source and sender for the entire broadcast. Exact OBS menu labels can vary by version, but the workflow is to add your recorded media as a source, configure its playback or playlist behavior, and connect OBS to the YouTube broadcast.

  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  1. Install OBS and add the class video. Create a scene, then add the recording as a media source. Configure the source to restart or loop as needed; for multiple classes, arrange sources or a playlist in the intended order and test transitions.
  2. Connect OBS to YouTube. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, select YouTube as the service, and connect with the stream key or supported account connection. Copy the key from the correct Live Control Room broadcast and keep it private.
  3. Check output and audio. Confirm the video is legible and the lesson audio is present without clipping or silence. Match the output to the recording and your available upload connection; there is no single bitrate or resolution established here that fits every source and connection.
  4. Test before going live. Start streaming from OBS and confirm the correct feed in YouTube’s preview. If you scheduled the broadcast, use the Live Control Room to start it at the intended time.
  5. Keep the setup running. Leave OBS open, the computer powered, the recordings accessible and the internet connection active. A local stream stops if the computer sleeps, loses power, OBS closes, or the connection fails.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos. Upload the classes, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; each slot streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; one free day is available per account. After that, the Monthly plan is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo for details, then start your free day.

Check copyright, permissions and audience settings

Clear every part of the recording

Review more than the teacher’s voice and slides. Recordings may also contain music, diagrams, textbook excerpts, screen-shared software, guest appearances or identifiable student contributions. Obtain the rights and permissions needed for the planned live transmission and any archive. India’s Copyright Act includes rebroadcast in its definition of broadcast and defines communication to the public broadly; that is a reason to check the rights for your specific materials and use, not a conclusion that every teaching use infringes copyright. See the Copyright Act, 1957.

Know what YouTube’s live checks can do

YouTube says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match may replace the stream image, interrupt the stream or terminate it. If a licensed recording includes third-party material, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a licence alone does not necessarily prevent an interruption. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Check whether the lessons are made for children

If a stream is marked “made for kids,” YouTube disables some features, including live chat and reminder notifications; personalized ads are disabled on live streams and Premieres, though contextual ads may still appear. Follow YouTube’s current audience designation and livestream requirements, especially when a minor appears in a class recording.

Plan around replay archives and monetization

YouTube documents automatic archiving for streams under 12 hours. A single 24-hour broadcast falls outside that stated automatic-archive scope, so do not rely on it to produce a complete replay. If retaining full replays matters, consider separate shorter broadcasts or keep the original recordings independently. See YouTube’s live stream archive guidance.

Livestream access, permission to use material and monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube reviews channels under monetization policies that include reused and repetitive or mass-produced content. A continuous loop is not a monetization guarantee; assess the channel as a whole against YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Troubleshoot common failures

  • Livestreaming is not available yet: Check the Live Control Room for channel restrictions and enable livestreaming in advance. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
  • YouTube shows no incoming video: Confirm OBS or the cloud encoder is actually sending, and check that the stream URL and key match the broadcast you created. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder.
  • The wrong class appears or the stream is silent: Check the selected media source or playlist, then verify audio in the encoder and YouTube preview before starting the broadcast.
  • The local stream stops: Check whether the computer slept, OBS closed, the source file became unavailable, power failed or the network disconnected. A local encoder depends on all of these remaining available.
  • The live picture is interrupted or replaced: Review the recording for third-party material and check YouTube’s copyright notices. Confirm any necessary rights and, for licensed Content ID material, ask the rights owner about allowlisting.
  • The full-day replay is missing or incomplete: A single 24-hour stream is outside YouTube’s stated automatic archive scope for streams under 12 hours. Keep original files and use shorter broadcasts if complete replay archives are important.
