To automate prerecorded Tamil devotional videos on YouTube Live, schedule a live event in YouTube Studio and send it a continuous feed from an encoder or a cloud streaming service. A regular YouTube playlist does not, by itself, become a live broadcast. Before setting anything to run unattended, confirm that you have the rights to every song, recording, and visual, and test the complete stream.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live streaming tips.
- Video files and audio that you have the necessary rights to stream on YouTube.
- An encoder or a service that sends your prerecorded material to YouTube as a continuous live feed.
- A stable upload connection if you run the encoder yourself, plus a way to monitor the stream during setup and operation.
YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; a dedicated hardware encoder is not required. The right choice depends on whether you prefer to operate your own equipment or use a hosted service, and on whether the selected option documents playlist sequencing and recovery after disconnection.
1. Confirm rights to the videos and music
Do this before scheduling. YouTube’s livestream terms say: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.” See YouTube’s livestream terms.
A devotional subject or traditional lyrics do not automatically make a particular recording, arrangement, performance, or video free to use. Check the rights for each specific recording and all accompanying visuals. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects such material, it may replace the live feed with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it if the content remains. Even with a licence, a rights owner may need to add your channel to a Content ID allowlist to help prevent interruptions; see YouTube’s live copyright guidance.

2. Schedule the live event in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room.
- Create or schedule a live stream. Scheduling gives you an upcoming event page that you can share and promote.
- Choose the event’s title, description, audience settings, and start time, then save it.
- Open the event’s stream settings and retrieve the YouTube server URL and stream key needed by your encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain scheduling and connecting an encoder: Set up your YouTube Live stream. Keep the key private, and use the current Studio labels and instructions shown for your event.
3. Choose how to send the prerecorded playlist
Run an encoder on your own computer or hardware
Configure an encoder to send the intended Tamil devotional video sequence, with its audio, as a continuous feed to the event’s YouTube server URL and stream key. Software encoders and hardware encoders are both options. A local setup means the encoder device and its internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue; plan how you will monitor and recover it if the device, software, power, or connection fails.

Use a cloud service for continuous playback
YouTube’s encoder-options page names Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. That listing makes it an option to investigate, but does not establish its current playlist-looping, recovery, or pricing details. Confirm those details directly with the service before relying on it for unattended playback. Whichever method you use, verify that it can sequence or loop your files as intended. A standard YouTube playlist is not a substitute for an encoder feed, and the official setup guidance does not promise that YouTube will automatically turn a playlist into a live stream.

4. Configure the encoder and test the feed
Use the current requirements on YouTube’s encoder settings page and check that your chosen encoder supports them. YouTube’s guidance covers RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265 or AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, and constant bitrate encoding. The appropriate resolution, bitrate, and other values depend on the source and the upload connection; set quality to what that connection can reliably sustain rather than assuming the highest setting will work.
- Enter the event’s YouTube server URL and stream key in the encoder’s streaming destination settings.
- Set the encoder to send the intended video and audio continuously, with the sequence or loop configured in the encoder or service itself.
- Start the encoder before the scheduled event, as YouTube recommends, and wait for the feed to appear in the Live Control Room preview.
- Check representative sections of the playlist, including both motion and audio. Confirm that sound is audible, video is visible, and the stream health indicators do not show a problem.
- Open the watch page and confirm that viewers can access the event. YouTube’s setup and live tips recommend previewing and checking accessibility and stream quality before starting: Live streaming tips.
A process reporting that it is running is not proof that viewers receive usable audio and video. Include monitoring in your plan, especially for an unattended broadcast.

5. Run, monitor, and end the stream
Keep an eye on stream health and the viewer-facing watch page. If the feed stops or becomes unusable, identify whether the issue is the source file, encoder, internet connection, or YouTube event before restarting. A service may offer automatic recovery, but check its current documentation rather than assuming that feature is included.
To end the broadcast, stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; plan around this documented threshold if you intend to run longer. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.

Troubleshooting
The scheduled event does not show an incoming feed
- Confirm the encoder has the correct server URL and stream key for this exact event.
- Check that the encoder is actively sending and that the network can sustain the chosen quality.
- Verify the event is open in the Live Control Room and review its stream health indicators.
The stream starts, but there is no sound or picture
- Check the source file and encoder preview for both audio and video.
- Test more than one playlist item in case a particular file has a different format or missing audio.
- Confirm the encoder settings are compatible with YouTube’s current guidance.
The broadcast is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder
Investigate third-party content detection and rights status for the specific recording and visuals. If you have a licence, ask the rights owner whether your channel must be added to a Content ID allowlist. Consult YouTube’s live copyright guidance.
The stream stops while meant to run continuously
Check whether the encoder device, power, network, source sequence, or hosted service stopped sending. Test the chosen tool’s recovery behavior before depending on it unattended. Also account for YouTube’s automatic archive rule for streams under 12 hours when planning a longer broadcast.
