Turn on YouTube’s playlist repeat control to play the same sequence again. YouTube’s documented controls do not offer a way to guarantee that the transition screen between videos is hidden or removed, so looping alone will not make playback transition-free.
Loop a playlist on YouTube
Use playlist repeat rather than Autoplay when you want a particular set of videos to repeat in order. YouTube documents different control labels and locations by device.
Desktop
- Open a video that is part of the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click the Loop control in the playlist box.
Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the playlist controls under the video.
- To change the setting to repeat only the current video, tap Loop again.
TV or game console
- Select and play a playlist.
- Open the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the control indicates “Repeat • Playlist.”
Control placement can vary by device. YouTube’s official instructions for these controls are in Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
Does looping hide the transition screen?
No documented YouTube playlist-repeat control promises to remove or suppress the screen between videos. Repeat makes the playlist start again after its last video; it does not establish transition-free playback. YouTube’s Help and developer documentation do not describe a supported setting for hiding that screen, so do not rely on a device setting or embed parameter to eliminate it.

Playlist repeat is not Autoplay
Playlist repeat cycles through the selected videos. Autoplay instead starts another related video when the current one ends, according to YouTube’s Autoplay videos Help page. If you want a defined sequence to repeat, use the playlist’s Loop or Repeat • Playlist control rather than Autoplay.
Looping a playlist in an embedded player
For a web page you control, YouTube’s IFrame Player API supports looping a loaded playlist. Its documented setLoop(true) behavior returns playback to the first video after the last one. The API reference does not document a transition-screen suppression control.
