How the purple group fits
The purple entries begin with the letter sequences associated with mythological figures: AT in AT LAST, HER in HERALD, HY in HYDRANT, and TRI in TRITONE. The archive gives the category as “starting with figures from greek myth”; the shared pattern is at the beginnings of the answers.
Solving approach
Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four. The WordHint archive says players get four mistakes before the puzzle ends. It recommends working through the easier color groups first and watching for words that could plausibly fit more than one category. Those are general suggestions from the archive, not a report of independently tested strategies.
