To set up a YouTube Premiere, upload a finished video in YouTube Studio, then choose either an instant Premiere or a scheduled one. For a scheduled event, set a date and time and select Set as Premiere. The Studio steps below use the English interface labels; the exact Hindi labels may vary by app or Studio version.
What a YouTube Premiere is
A Premiere lets you and your viewers watch a new uploaded video together in real time. It is not a live broadcast being recorded as it happens: you upload the finished video, then schedule or start its shared viewing event. After the event, the video remains on your channel as a regular upload.
Before you set it up
- Use an eligible video: YouTube says Shorts are not supported for Premieres, and 360/VR180 video and output above 1080p are unsupported.
- Have the finished video ready to upload. An instant Premiere starts only after processing is complete.
- If you want a future event, choose a date and time and allow time to share its watch page. YouTube recommends scheduling at least 24 hours ahead so people around the world have an opportunity to see the thumbnail in their subscriptions feed; this is a recommendation, not a requirement.
Set up a Premiere in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio: sign in and select Create > Upload videos.
- Choose the video: select the finished file, then fill in its video details.
- Choose when it should begin:
- Start as soon as processing finishes: select Save or publish > Public > Set as instant Premiere.
- Start at a future time: select Schedule, enter the date and time, and check Set as Premiere.
- Optional countdown setup: select Set up Premiere to choose a countdown theme and length.
- Finish: select Done or Schedule, as shown for your workflow.
You can also set a Premiere while uploading in the YouTube app: on the Set visibility page, choose Set as Premiere. The precise Hindi translations of these labels are not established here, so use the equivalent options shown in your version rather than relying on a particular translated wording.
Choose instant or scheduled

Share the watch page and prepare the chat
Scheduling creates a public watch page with a shareable URL before the Premiere begins. Viewers can visit it, set a reminder, comment, or chat. YouTube says reminder notifications are sent about 30 minutes before the event and again when it starts. During the Premiere, viewers watch the video together; they can rewind but cannot skip ahead beyond the point already shown. Chat replay is available afterward.

- Share the watch page URL in social posts, community posts, or pinned comments, and ask viewers to set a reminder.
- If chat is enabled, prepare conversation prompts and decide whether moderators, keyword blocklists, or slow mode would help.
- YouTube mentions optional third-party chat bots such as Nightbot; a bot is not required to create or run a Premiere.
Countdown, trailer, and monetization options
- Countdown: You can choose its theme and length when setting up the Premiere.
- Trailer: YouTube lists trailer eligibility as more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes.
- Ads: Eligible channels can serve pre-roll ads during the Premiere. YouTube says mid-roll and post-roll ads are not available during the event. After it ends, the upload’s default ad settings apply.
- Viewer support and membership: Eligible creators can turn on Super Chat and Super Stickers before or during the Premiere. Eligible channel memberships may offer perks such as members-only chat. These features are not available to every channel.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
The Premiere option is unavailable
Check the video format and resolution: YouTube says Shorts, 360/VR180 video, and output above 1080p are unsupported for Premieres. Confirm that you are setting the option during the upload workflow, either in Studio or on the app’s visibility page.
An instant Premiere has not started
An instant Premiere begins after processing completes. Wait for processing to finish before expecting the event to start.

Viewers cannot find the event page
For a scheduled Premiere, use its public watch page URL to share the event in advance. If the event is not scheduled, there may not yet be a future watch page to promote.
The Hindi menu wording does not match these steps
The steps here cite the English Studio labels. Hindi interface wording can differ by app or Studio version; identify the equivalent visibility, scheduling, and Premiere options in the interface you are using.
