To add a second YouTube channel to Switchboard Live, authorize the Google account that can access it, then enable that channel as a destination in the Stream Group you want to use. Those are separate steps. Switchboard’s documented multiple-channel setup covers another channel accessible through the same Google login.
Before you start
- Sign in to Switchboard on a desktop computer.
- Make sure YouTube live streaming is enabled for the channel you want to add. Switchboard says enabling it involves phone verification and may take up to 24 hours to activate. See Switchboard’s YouTube live-streaming instructions.
- Have access to the Google account associated with the additional YouTube channel.
Connect the second YouTube channel
- In Switchboard, open the Stream Group where you want to send the stream and select Add Destinations.
- If the YouTube channel is not connected to your Switchboard account, choose Connect More, then select YouTube.
- In Google’s authorization pop-up, select the Google account that can access the additional channel and continue through the authorization prompts. Close the success screen when it appears.
- If the channel is not yet connected, repeat the authorization steps for it. Switchboard documents this process for another YouTube channel accessible with the same Google login. Follow the prompts to select the intended account or channel.

Add the connected channel to a Stream Group
Authorizing a channel connects it to your Switchboard account; it does not by itself add it to the Stream Group. To enable it in the group:
- Open the intended Stream Group and select Add Destinations.
- Find the already-connected YouTube channel and switch on its toggle.
- Submit or confirm the change.

If the second channel is missing
- Check that the Google account selected in the authorization pop-up can access the channel. Switchboard’s documented instructions describe adding another channel available through the same Google login.
- Confirm YouTube live streaming is enabled for that channel before authorizing it; activation may take up to 24 hours after phone verification.
- If the channel is already connected to Switchboard, look for it under Add Destinations in the target Stream Group and enable its toggle. Connection to the account and inclusion in a group are distinct steps.
Switchboard’s published instructions do not provide a separate troubleshooting sequence for channels absent from Google’s chooser. If the account and live-streaming prerequisites are satisfied but the channel still does not appear, contact Switchboard support rather than assuming a particular fix.
