You can use a prerecorded video in Talk Studio in two different ways: schedule the whole video as a YouTube broadcast, or share an MP4 as a source during a live studio session. Scheduling does not necessarily start the broadcast for you: Streamlabs’ scheduling guide says to enter the studio and press Go Live at showtime.

Choose the right Talk Studio workflow

What you want to do Use this workflow Key limit or requirement
Broadcast one complete prerecorded video at a planned time Schedule a pre-recorded video Streamlabs’ scheduling guide states a 5 GB file maximum, a 50-day scheduling window, and a duration limit of 1 hour on Standard or 2 hours on Pro/Ultra. Streamlabs Talk Studio Broadcast Scheduling
Play a video during an already-running studio broadcast, with the option to switch sources Share the video from the studio Streamlabs’ screen-sharing guide says video sharing accepts MP4 only. How to Screen Share with Talk Studio

Choose scheduling when the prerecorded file is the planned show. Choose in-session sharing when you need to introduce a clip, discuss it with guests, or move between the video and other studio sources.

Schedule a complete prerecorded video

  1. Open Talk Studio and go to Schedule. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide also lists Shift+J as the shortcut.
  2. Click + Schedule, then select YouTube as the destination.
  3. Choose Pre-recorded video and upload the file. Check the file size and duration against the limits shown in Talk Studio; the scheduling guide states a 5 GB maximum, with duration caps of 1 hour for Standard and 2 hours for Pro/Ultra.
  4. Enter the broadcast details: title, description, date and time, and thumbnail.
  5. Schedule the broadcast and review the scheduled entry or confirmation. At showtime, enter the studio and start the scheduled stream using Go Live; do not assume the schedule alone starts the broadcast.

Streamlabs’ guide states that scheduling is available within a 50-day window. Plan within the window and verify the current file and plan limits in Talk Studio, since product limits can change. See Streamlabs’ guide to live streaming prerecorded video for its core prerecorded-video workflow and the scheduling guide for scheduling details.

Share an MP4 during a live studio session

  1. Open the active Talk Studio session and choose Share.
  2. Select the video file. Streamlabs’ help page says, “If you’re sharing a Video, MP4 formats accepted only.” If the file is not an MP4, use a supported MP4 version before the session rather than relying on an unsupported format.
  3. Switch to the video source when ready. Added videos appear in the studio’s left navigation bar, where you can switch between them during the stream.
  4. Check the main canvas before switching. The official guide says a screen and a video cannot be on the main canvas together, so select the source you want viewers to see.

If you are sharing a browser tab or window instead of a local video, enable Share tab audio when its sound should be included. Audio sharing can be restricted by some operating systems; test it before the broadcast. For these sharing details, consult Streamlabs’ Talk Studio screen-sharing guide.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Check YouTube eligibility, rights, and stream health

  • Confirm the channel can livestream. YouTube’s general guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. It also states that livestreamers must be at least 16. Check your account in YouTube Studio for current eligibility and account-specific requirements: Get started with live streaming.
  • Clear the rights for the entire video. You are responsible for the rights needed to broadcast the video and its audio, including applicable music licenses. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions require creators to have the necessary rights for live content on Google services. Streamlabs also warns that YouTube may enforce copyright on music shared through Talk Studio. Use content you own or have licensed for this use.
  • Test before the scheduled time and watch stream health. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring the stream. Its RTMPS recommendation and encoder settings guidance concern encoder workflows; Talk Studio’s browser workflow should be configured through its in-app connection, not by inventing a manual encoder setup. See YouTube’s encoder guide and encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions if you are separately configuring an encoder.

When Talk Studio’s duration limit is not enough

Talk Studio’s scheduling guide states a maximum prerecorded duration of 2 hours for Pro/Ultra. If you need a continuous prerecorded YouTube stream beyond that limit, YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous livestreaming of prerecorded video. Treat it as an option to investigate, not as a feature of Talk Studio; check the provider’s current capabilities and terms before choosing it.

Or let it run in the cloud

If the goal is to keep uploaded videos looping as a 24/7 YouTube stream rather than run a scheduled Talk Studio show, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps it running without a computer staying on at home. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made at one price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers; StreamNeo also attempts automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Start your StreamNeo free day.
