Kelly Rowland did not appear in the fourth hour of Today on February 15, 2024, despite being expected to guest-host with Hoda Kotb. Rita Ora filled in. Reports offered two different explanations—dissatisfaction with the dressing room and frustration over questions about Beyoncé—but neither was confirmed by Rowland or her representative in the cited coverage.
What happened on February 15, 2024?
Rowland appeared during Today’s 8 a.m. hour and was expected to join Hoda Kotb in the fourth hour. She did not take that spot; Rita Ora filled in, according to Page Six’s February 16 report.
What were the reported explanations?

No. On February 20, Entertainment Tonight reported a statement from Rowland’s representative, Yvette Noel-Schure: “After 28 years of knowing her, Kelly Rowland remains one of the kindest, most amiable humans I have ever met and have had the blessing to represent.” The statement defended Rowland’s character but did not explain her absence or endorse either account. Was Rowland invited back to Today?
