What Collab Cam does on mobile
Collab Cam adds a guest’s video feed to a Streamlabs Mobile scene. The host can preview the feed, position it in the scene, and adjust guest audio and camera settings. On Android, the documented workflow also lets you add the phone’s front or back camera as another camera layer.
Streamlabs’ mobile guide covers both iOS and Android and describes Collab Cam as free. It does not specify minimum operating-system versions, a device compatibility list, bandwidth thresholds, supported external peripherals, or a mobile guest-count limit. Do not assume the guest limits described for Desktop apply to Mobile. Streamlabs Mobile Collab Cam Guide
Set up Collab Cam on iPhone or iPad
- Open the main menu using the hamburger button in the upper-left corner.
- Tap Scenes, then Create New Scene.
- Name the scene and select a premade or custom layout. The Streamlabs walkthrough uses a custom blank layout.
- Open Layers, tap the plus button, and choose Add a Guest.
- Enter the guest’s name and save.
- Share the generated guest join link. The guest follows the prompts to choose preferences and taps the green Join button.
- In the scene edit window, adjust the guest video’s size and placement. Tap the gear icon to open guest audio and camera settings, copy the link, or generate a new link.
- Tap Preview to check the guest camera. Return to the app’s home screen and start the stream when ready.
You can also add a guest after the stream is underway; you do not have to create the guest connection before going live.

Set up Collab Cam on Android
- Open the main menu and select Scenes, then Create a New Scene.
- If Scenes is not visible, select Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, and create a scene there.
- Name the scene and choose a premade or custom layout.
- Open Layers and tap Add layer.
- Choose Add a Camera to use the phone’s front or back camera as an additional angle, or choose Add a Guest to invite someone remotely.
- For a guest, enter a name and tap Add. Save the camera settings. The camera or guest feed will appear among the scene layers.
- Adjust the feed’s size and placement in the scene.
- To invite the guest, tap their camera in the scene, open Settings with the gear icon, and adjust audio or camera options. Copy the invite link or generate a new one.
Streamlabs’ Mobile Live Streaming Guide covers broader scene and camera/audio controls, but does not add Collab Cam-specific hardware requirements.
Can a guest join after the stream starts?
Yes. Streamlabs says a guest can join before the broadcast begins or after it is already in progress. Create the guest layer and share its join link; when the guest joins, check the feed in the scene and position it as needed.

Links, privacy, and guest limits
The Mobile guide documents copying or regenerating a guest link. Share it only with the person you intend to invite. Streamlabs’ advice to share links only with trusted people and regenerate a leaked link appears in its Collab Cam overview in the Desktop context, so treat that as general link-safety guidance rather than a mobile-specific setting.
The Mobile guide does not state a guest cap. Streamlabs’ overview discusses one free guest and up to 11 guests with Ultra in the Desktop context; those figures should not be treated as Mobile limits.

Common setup problems
- Scenes is missing on Android: Open the main menu, choose Go to Advanced Settings, tap Continue, and create a scene.
- The guest has not appeared in the scene: Confirm they opened the invite link and tapped Join; then check the scene’s guest layer and preview.
- You need to change the guest’s position or settings: Open the scene editor and adjust the layer; use its gear/settings control for guest audio and camera options.
- You need to replace an invite link: Use the guest settings’ copy-link or generate-new-link control. If a link may have reached someone unintended, replace it before sharing again.
