Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsYou can run a prerecorded YouTube live stream around the clock by sending a looping video feed from an encoder—on a computer, dedicated hardware, or a cloud service—to a YouTube stream created in YouTube Studio. First enable live streaming, confirm your channel is eligible, and clear the rights to every audio and video element. A continuous broadcast needs a plan for monitoring and recovery; YouTube’s encoder setup does not itself guarantee that a feed will stay live.
Before you start: check YouTube eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. The streamer must be at least 16. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it ahead of a planned launch rather than at the last minute. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and its encoder setup instructions.
Choose how to keep the prerecorded feed running
An encoder converts video into a format YouTube can receive. For a 24/7 prerecorded channel, the practical choice is where that encoder runs and who is responsible for keeping it available.
| Approach | What stays running | What you manage | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo cloud service | The cloud service sends your uploaded video to YouTube; your home computer can be off. | Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and start the stream. StreamNeo says it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. | Creators who want a managed, prerecorded YouTube loop without keeping a computer on. |
| Software encoder on a local computer | Your computer, encoder, and internet connection. | Keep the machine and connection available, configure the looping source, and monitor the encoder and feed. | Creators who want local control and can maintain the computer and network. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | The encoder hardware and its network connection. | Configure and maintain the device and source feed. YouTube supports hardware encoders, but no particular model or minimum specification is established here. | Creators who prefer a standalone physical encoder. |
| Another cloud continuous-stream service | The provider’s cloud infrastructure. | Check current format support, price, restart behavior, archive features, and rights workflow with the provider. YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded streaming; that listing is not a guarantee of uptime or an endorsement. | Creators comparing managed cloud options. |
StreamNeo is first to consider for an always-on YouTube loop: it runs from the cloud, accepts uploads up to 4K 60fps as made at one flat price per slot, and includes a free first day. Details are at StreamNeo.

Set up the YouTube broadcast and connect an encoder
- Enable live streaming. Complete any required channel verification and activation in YouTube. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Create the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create a stream. Use the current Studio prompts to set its title, visibility, and other broadcast details.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key from Studio into your chosen encoder or cloud service. Treat the key as a secret credential: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your channel.
- Prepare the loop. Add the recording or playlist to the encoder or service and confirm that the sequence plays as intended. The exact looping controls depend on the encoder; YouTube’s documentation does not specify a looping configuration for every product.
- Start the encoder and verify reception. Start sending the feed, then check the live preview and status in Studio before relying on the broadcast. Confirm that the expected audio and video are present.
- Monitor the operation. Arrange a way to notice a stopped feed and restore it. Test your recovery steps; no setup should be treated as failure-proof without evidence.
YouTube supports encoder-based streaming, including software and standalone hardware encoders. Its verified-encoder list also names Gyre for cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded streams, while noting that listed products are not made by YouTube. See Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Choose settings for the source and connection
There is no single bitrate or resolution setting that is safe to prescribe for every channel: the appropriate values depend on the source, desired output, encoder, and available upload connection. Do not raise quality beyond what your encoder and sustained upload capacity can deliver reliably. Check the encoder’s current guidance for the selected format and test the feed in Studio before leaving it unattended.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
StreamNeo’s stated approach is to stream uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality tiers. For a local encoder or another service, verify its own supported formats and settings rather than assuming they match.
Protect the channel from copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can cause the stream to be replaced by a placeholder, interrupted, or terminated. YouTube also says licensed material may still be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- Use material you own, have licensed for this use, or are otherwise authorized to broadcast continuously.
- Check that permission covers the music, footage, photographs, and other embedded elements—not just the main recording.
- If a rights holder needs to allowlist your channel, arrange that before going live; possessing a license alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
A rights check is not a guarantee that YouTube will never interrupt a stream. If you need a checklist before publishing, use the copyright safety checklist.
Plan the replay separately from the live loop
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that a continuous broadcast lasting longer than that will produce a complete replay. If preserving a replay matters, record it separately or divide the programming into shorter broadcasts, then check the current archive workflow in Studio. The relevant platform guidance is in YouTube’s encoder streaming help.

Understand the cost and operational trade-offs
A local setup shifts responsibility to your own computer or hardware and network; a cloud service shifts the continuous-running task to a provider. Compare recurring charges with the value of your time, power, equipment, connectivity, and monitoring. The cited YouTube documentation does not establish prices or uptime commitments for the service categories, so check current provider terms directly.
StreamNeo has one product across its billing lengths; every slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and team support. Upload-time and cloud-versus-PC calculators are available at upload-time calculator and cloud vs PC cost calculator.

Troubleshoot common 24/7 stream problems
- You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification and live-stream restrictions, and allow for first-time activation, which YouTube says can take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube Studio receives no feed: Confirm the encoder is running and that the stream URL and key were copied correctly. If you suspect the key was exposed, replace it in Studio and update the encoder.
- The feed stops after launch: Check whether the computer, encoder, network, or cloud service stopped sending. Restore the feed and test how you will detect the next interruption.
- The stream is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder: Check for a third-party content match and verify that you have the necessary rights and any required Content ID allowlisting.
- You cannot find a complete replay: Check the broadcast duration and current Studio archive status. YouTube’s automatic-archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours; keep a separate recording or use shorter sessions if a replay is important.
