For a Gujarati video recorded at 1920×1080 and 25 fps, set the encoder to 1920×1080 at 25 fps if you want to preserve the source’s motion cadence. Use H.264, CBR, a 2-second keyframe interval, progressive scan, square pixels, Rec. 709, 8-bit SDR, and AAC stereo at 44.1 kHz/128 kbps as a practical starting point. YouTube does not publish a specific bitrate row for 1080p25, so its 1080p30 figures are references—not an exact 25 fps recommendation.
Recommended encoder settings
YouTube’s encoder guidance is not language-specific: Gujarati narration does not require a different frame rate, codec, or bitrate. These settings suit a conventional SDR stream when the source is 1920×1080 at 25 fps.
| Setting | Practical choice | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution | 1920Ă—1080 | Match the source if preserving its native format is the goal. YouTube detects resolution and frame rate automatically by default; a custom stream key can enable manual resolution. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Frame rate | 25 fps | Keep the source cadence rather than converting to 30 fps unless you have a production reason. YouTube accepts up to 60 fps; its bitrate table lists 30 and 60 fps rows, not 25 fps. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Video codec | H.264 for broad conventional compatibility | YouTube also lists H.265/HEVC and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS. Choose only a codec supported by your encoder and setup. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Rate control | CBR | YouTube’s general recommendation for live encoding. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Keyframes | Every 2 seconds | YouTube recommends 2 seconds and says not to exceed 4 seconds. At 25 fps, 2 seconds equals 50 frames. |
| SDR picture | Progressive scan; square pixels; Rec. 709; 8-bit | These are YouTube’s documented advanced settings for SDR. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Stereo audio | AAC, 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps | YouTube also lists MP3 for stereo. AAC is required for its 5.1 RTMP option; that is not needed for an ordinary stereo narration/music stream. YouTube encoder settings. |
| Transport | RTMPS, if your encoder supports it | YouTube recommends the encrypted RTMP option. YouTube RTMPS guidance. |
What bitrate should you use?
YouTube’s current published bitrate table has no 1080p25 row. Do not label a 1080p30 value as YouTube’s official 1080p25 recommendation. The following figures apply to the listed frame rates and codecs and can serve only as nearby context:
| Published format | Minimum bitrate | Recommended bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p30, H.264 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p30, AV1 or H.265 | 4 Mbps | 10 Mbps |
| 1080p60, H.264 | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
| 1080p60, AV1 or H.265 | 4 Mbps | 12 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s published figures for 30 or 60 fps, not for 25 fps. Pick a rate your internet connection can sustain consistently, then test with representative movement, Gujarati speech, and music. Check upload bitrate and watch stream health in Live Control Room during the test. YouTube transcodes incoming live video into multiple playback formats, so viewers may see a playback resolution different from the encoder’s input format. YouTube encoder settings.

Connect an encoder through YouTube Live Control Room
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Scheduling lets you promote the event and gives viewers an opportunity to set reminders. YouTube encoder workflow.
- Copy the connection details. Open the stream settings and copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key like a password; if it is exposed, use YouTube’s reset option. YouTube encoder workflow.
- Set the output. Configure 1920Ă—1080 at 25 fps, along with the codec, CBR, keyframe interval, and audio settings above. YouTube recommends automatic resolution and frame-rate detection unless you need manual resolution. YouTube encoder settings.
- Test the feed. Send a test and check the preview, audio levels, picture, motion, and stream health. Listen specifically for clear Gujarati narration and a sensible balance between voice and music; this is a production check, not a separate YouTube language setting.
- Start and end the event cleanly. For a scheduled event, wait until the incoming feed appears in Live Control Room preview, then select Go live. To finish, stop the stream in YouTube and stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. YouTube encoder workflow.
YouTube advises setting up the encoder at least 2 hours before the event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. YouTube streaming tips.
Keep the Gujarati video and channel ready
- Check the actual encoded output—not just the source file—for readable titles or subtitles, clean speech, and music that does not overpower narration.
- Use only video and audio you have the rights to stream. A prerecorded source does not remove copyright obligations.
- Do not assume that a technically valid stream guarantees monetization or policy approval; YouTube’s encoder settings do not determine how reused-content or copyright rules apply to a particular channel or video.
- Keep the stream key private. If it is compromised, reset it in YouTube rather than continuing to use an exposed key.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Live Control Room does not show an incoming preview | The encoder is not sending to the matching URL/key, or the feed has not started | Confirm the stream URL and key in the encoder, verify it is sending, and wait for the preview before selecting Go live. Reset the key if it may have been exposed. |
| Stream health reports bitrate or connection issues | The connection cannot sustain the configured upload rate consistently | Check actual upload bitrate and network stability, choose a rate the connection can maintain, then repeat a representative test. Do not treat the 1080p30 table as a 25 fps rule. |
| Motion looks uneven | The encoder output frame rate differs from the source cadence | For a 25 fps source, set 25 fps if preserving native cadence is the goal; verify the encoder is not converting to another frame rate. |
| Audio is missing, distorted, or hard to understand | Audio encoder settings, levels, or voice/music balance need attention | Use a supported stereo format such as AAC at 44.1 kHz/128 kbps and listen to the test feed, including the Gujarati narration and any music. |
| Picture looks different for viewers than in the encoder | YouTube transcodes the incoming stream for playback | Compare the Live Control Room preview and the resulting playback; viewer playback resolution can differ from the incoming encoder resolution. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If the prerecorded video needs to stay live on YouTube without leaving a computer and home connection running, StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload the video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It is YouTube-only and does not stream from a camera. The cloud keeps the stream running with your computer off, supports the file as uploaded up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
