Possibly, but YouTube’s official guidance does not give blanket approval for every continuous playlist of prerecorded yoga classes. Before streaming, make sure you have rights covering the class video and every included music track for YouTube Live use. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a stream. Even with permission, a channel that republishes classes may face a separate reused-content review if it seeks monetization.
Check the rights before you build the playlist
YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for having the necessary rights to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights. A permission to view, download, teach with, or upload a class as an ordinary video does not necessarily cover rebroadcasting it in a continuous YouTube Live playlist. For each class, confirm who owns the footage
If an instructor, studio, or library owns the class, obtain permission or a license that specifically covers a YouTube live broadcast. Confirm the intended territories and duration, and whether the stream will be archived or otherwise made available afterward.
Clear every included music track
Check that the music rights cover this live use, not merely use in a class or an ordinary video. If a third party licensed the class or music, ask the owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist before you stream. Compare licenses on the details that matter
- Who owns the video and can grant permission for a live broadcast?
- Does the license explicitly permit a YouTube Live broadcast, and for which territories and duration?
- Are all included music rights covered for live use?
- Will the owner support Content ID allowlisting for your channel?
- Does the permission cover an archive or replay, and does it address monetization?
These questions help identify what to clarify; the license and rights holder determine what you are actually permitted to do.
Make sure the channel can stream live
YouTube’s setup guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. A live stream must also comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Check the current requirements in YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.

Understand the two separate risks: interruption and monetization
Copyright scanning can interrupt a stream
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may trigger a placeholder image and warning; if the content remains, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. Permission does not guarantee monetization
YouTube’s channel monetization policy includes live streaming in its use of the term “video.” It defines reused content as material repurposed from YouTube or another online source without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value. YouTube reviews reused content separately from copyright enforcement, so having permission is not by itself a guarantee of monetization eligibility. Availability depends on eligibility, and YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. These features do not mean a particular playlist will qualify for monetization. Keep the playlist and its permissions aligned
- Keep a record of the permission or license for every class and music track, including its live-use scope, territory, duration, and archive terms.
- Ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting before the stream starts, rather than waiting for a match during the broadcast.
- Recheck permissions when adding a class, replacing music, changing territories, or enabling an archive or replay.
- Do not treat an uninterrupted test or an available monetization feature as proof that every item is cleared or that the playlist qualifies for monetization.
