One Gyre account can connect multiple YouTube channels, and Gyre says the number of connected channels is unlimited. You must authorize each channel separately, however, and the number of streams you can run simultaneously depends on your Gyre plan and YouTube’s limits. Set up each channel as its own stream, then match your plan capacity to the number that must be live at the same time.
What “multiple channels” means in Gyre
Keep three separate counts in mind: channels connected to your Gyre account, streams running at once, and YouTube’s stream and stream-key limits. Gyre’s guide says connected channels are unlimited, but that does not mean you can run an unlimited number of simultaneous broadcasts. Your plan sets a concurrency ceiling, and each YouTube channel and stream key may impose additional constraints.
For a documentary operation, map each channel to the stream it needs—for example, one channel for a nature-film loop and another for a history playlist. If both must be live concurrently, you need two available stream slots, not merely two connected channels.
Before you connect a channel
- Make sure live streaming is enabled for each YouTube channel. Gyre’s setup guidance says the channel should be verified and free of live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. Check the current requirements in YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming.
- Use a Google account that owns or manages the channel, and be prepared to grant Gyre live-broadcast access.
- Decide how many streams need to be live at once. Compare that number with the plan’s concurrent capacity, rather than the count of connected channels.
- For API-created streams, check YouTube Studio’s monetization defaults for third-party tools. Gyre says a stream may start with monetization disabled if that preference is off; do not assume that connecting a monetized channel automatically enables ads on an external-service stream.
Connect and launch each YouTube channel
Gyre’s current guide describes channel authorization on both trial and paid plans. Repeat the following workflow separately for every channel you want to use.

- Start a stream in Gyre. Begin stream creation and choose YouTube as the destination.
- Choose channel authorization. Select the authorization route rather than manually entering a stream key. Manual setup remains available for advanced YouTube Studio configurations.
- Sign in and grant access. Use the Google account that owns or manages the target channel, then approve Gyre’s requested live-broadcast permissions.
- Select the channel. If that Google account manages several YouTube channels, pick the intended one. Authorize every additional channel separately; selecting one does not connect all channels managed by the same Google account.
- Enter broadcast details. Set the title, description, tags, thumbnail, and privacy setting for this channel’s stream.
- Choose a stream key. Select an existing key or let Gyre create one. Keep a channel-to-stream-to-key record so you can see which broadcast uses which key.
- Add the video or playlist. Review Gyre’s file report before launch, then start the stream.
- Repeat for each channel. Confirm that each new stream uses the correct channel, metadata, key, and playlist before starting it.
How many streams can run at once?
Gyre’s plan page, accessed on October 3, 2026, lists these capacities and inclusions. Prices and plan details can change, so verify the live Gyre pricing page before subscribing.

These are Gyre’s listed plan capacities, not a guarantee that every YouTube channel is eligible to broadcast or that every configuration will work for every account. The page also distinguishes HD and 4K capacity by tier; check its current configuration details if you need 4K rather than HD.

Plan capacity is not the same as channel count
If you connect five channels but only need one live stream at a time, the relevant figure is one concurrent stream. If four channels must broadcast simultaneously, a plan listing four simultaneous streams is the relevant tier, subject to YouTube’s limits and each channel’s eligibility.
Keep YouTube limits in the channel-and-key plan
Gyre’s guide reports YouTube limits of 10 active streams per channel and three broadcasts per stream key. These figures are attributed to Gyre’s guide; they were not independently confirmed against an official YouTube source here. Treat them as a planning constraint to verify against current YouTube guidance, and observe the most restrictive limit that applies to your setup. Before scaling, document each stream’s channel and key and avoid assuming that Gyre’s unlimited connected-channel count overrides platform restrictions.

Keep a multi-channel operation organized
A small channel group can be managed with a simple stream map. Record the channel name, the documentary or playlist assigned to it, the key selected in Gyre, the privacy setting, and whether the stream needs to run concurrently with others. This makes it easier to spot a wrong-channel launch or a plan-capacity mismatch before going live.
- Give each channel-specific stream distinct metadata and a thumbnail that accurately describes its content.
- Check the playlist and file report for each stream rather than assuming all channels should use the same media.
- Verify privacy and monetization settings channel by channel before launch.
- When increasing the number of simultaneous broadcasts, check plan concurrency and the applicable YouTube stream/key limits first.
When a large operation needs Enterprise
Gyre presents Enterprise for media companies, agencies, MCNs, and operators with 20 or more channels. Its page describes team roles, project organization, flexible stream capacity, dedicated infrastructure, and onboarding. Enterprise requires an annual contract with bank transfer or invoicing, and the page does not publish a standard price. For a smaller setup, compare the self-service plan’s concurrency and included storage with the actual number of simultaneous streams you need; for a larger network, ask Gyre for a quote and confirm capacity, permissions, onboarding, and total contract cost.
