Yes—Gyre lists 4K streaming on eligible plans. Its surfaced plan information shows one 4K stream on Start+ and up to two on PRO+, and a 2026 Gyre guide also says PRO+ supports up to two continuous 4K streams. But Gyre’s available video-preparation guide documents HD and Full HD settings, not a confirmed 4K upload specification. Before preparing a large 4K playlist, check Gyre’s current plan details and ask support which source-file settings its service accepts.
Which Gyre plans list 4K streaming?
Gyre’s official plan information lists 4K on Start+ and PRO+: Start+ allows one 4K stream, while PRO+ allows up to two. Gyre’s 2026 guide gives the PRO+ allowance as up to two simultaneous continuous 4K streams, alongside up to eight simultaneous continuous Full HD 60 fps streams. These are Gyre’s published plan statements, not independent test results; confirm the current allowances and destination terms before subscribing.

What file settings should you use?
Gyre’s Help Center describes uploading prerecorded videos to Gyre storage before streaming them. The article covers HD and Full HD preparation, not 4K. It lists 1920×1080 or 1280×720 resolution, H.264 video, 3072–6144 kbps video bitrate, 128 kbps audio bitrate and 30 fps. Those are the article’s HD/Full HD settings; they should not be treated as a 4K recipe.

The Help Center article was marked updated about a year before 2026, and its guidance does not settle Gyre’s current 4K input requirements. It also says files must be uploaded to Gyre storage, including files already published on a channel or drawn from a playlist. See Gyre’s video preparation help article.
YouTube’s 4K bitrate guidance is not Gyre’s file specification
YouTube’s live-encoder recommendations for H.264 4K/2160p are 30 Mbps at 30 fps and 35 Mbps at 60 fps. YouTube says it transcodes live streams into formats for different viewers. These are recommendations for sending a live stream to YouTube; the available Gyre documentation does not confirm that Gyre accepts those exact uploaded-file settings or preserves every 4K codec and frame-rate combination. Check these details before encoding a 4K playlist
- Confirm that your current Gyre plan includes the number of 4K streams you need.
- Ask Gyre support for the current accepted 4K upload resolution, codec, frame rate, bitrate and audio settings.
- Confirm that the destination platform and account terms permit the planned 4K stream.
- Test a representative file before uploading a large archive; the published HD/Full HD settings do not establish 4K compatibility.
Gyre’s guide names Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro as options for optimizing files. It does not make any of them a requirement. If you are preparing material for a documentary channel, also make sure you have the necessary rights for the footage and audio; an existing upload or playlist does not itself establish permission to rebroadcast it.
