1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIf your goal is to keep a pre-recorded YouTube channel live around the clock, AWS Elemental MediaPackage is usually only one component of the solution—not a complete playlist scheduler. StreamNeo is the simplest cloud option in this comparison for uploaded-video looping on YouTube; Castr is the closest documented managed alternative with scheduled cloud playout; Wowza is a configurable server route; and StreamYard is better suited to creator-led live production than automated 24/7 playlists.
First, identify what you are replacing
AWS Elemental MediaPackage is a just-in-time packaging and origination service: it converts incoming media into delivery formats in response to playback requests. It can be part of a resilient live workflow, but it does not by itself schedule a playlist of finished videos and publish a continuous YouTube channel.
A typical AWS architecture may use MediaLive for ingest and encoding, MediaPackage for packaging, and CloudFront for delivery. AWS describes MediaPackage as working with other AWS services to support resilient 24/7 channels and live events; that is AWS’s product description, not an independent uptime assessment. See the AWS MediaPackage FAQ and its live-streaming deployment guide.
So decide whether you need a substitute for MediaPackage’s packaging/origin role, or a different end-to-end workflow that also handles scheduling, encoding, and delivery. For most creators whose source material is already recorded and whose destination is YouTube, the latter is the practical question.

| StreamNeo | Uploaded videos or playlists that should loop continuously to YouTube from the cloud. The uploaded file streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, with no re-encoding or quality tiers. Confirm your storage needs and choose a billing term. |
| Castr | Managed scheduled cloud playout. Castr describes scheduling uploads, recordings, and live streams into a continuous channel, and sending pre-recorded live output to YouTube. | Plan-specific stream, destination, bandwidth, and storage limits; current price, currency, taxes, and overages. Confirm the exact plan handles your channel’s schedule and audience. |
| Wowza Streaming Engine | Operators who want configurable streaming-server software and can manage its deployment and operations. | Whether the proposed setup provides scheduled playlist playout and automated YouTube output, plus hosting, encoding, delivery, monitoring, and support costs. |
| StreamYard | Creator-led live shows, recording, or multistreaming. | The reviewed pricing page does not establish scheduled continuous cloud playlist playout to YouTube. Confirm this capability before treating it as a 24/7 solution. |
| AWS MediaPackage workflow | Teams building a configurable live delivery pipeline around incoming feeds and AWS services. | Ingest/encoding, packaging, CDN delivery, regional availability, redundancy, usage charges, and the engineering effort to operate the complete path. |
1. StreamNeo: uploaded-video looping from the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud continues the playout without keeping a computer, OBS, or a home internet connection running. It automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality-based plan tiers. Every plan has the same product; only the billing term changes. It streams to YouTube only.
Available terms are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. See StreamNeo and its pricing details.

2. Castr: scheduled managed playout
Castr’s platform page describes a 24/7 cloud playout channel that schedules uploaded videos, recordings, and live streams into continuous output. It also describes broadcasting finished video as a pre-recorded live stream to YouTube, Facebook, or an RTMP destination. That makes Castr the closest documented managed match here to scheduled playlist output beyond StreamNeo. Castr also lists RTMP and SRT ingest, live transcoding, multistreaming, hosting, and monetization capabilities; feature availability and limits vary by plan. Details are on the Castr platform page.

Castr’s pricing page showed monthly list prices of $19.99 Starter, $49.99 Standard, $199.99 Premium, $349.99 Ultra, and $749.99 Events when accessed in 2026. These are vendor-listed USD prices, not an India-specific quote; annual-billing equivalents are also displayed. The page listed bandwidth caps from 200 GB/month to 10 TB/month across those plans. Check current prices, plan limits, YouTube destination support, taxes, currency, and overage terms directly with Castr pricing. Castr states that its plans have multi-CDN delivery and a 99.9% uptime SLA; both are vendor claims, not independent performance findings.
3. Wowza: configurable streaming-server software
Wowza Streaming Engine is server software that can be installed on server hardware or deployed with major cloud providers. Wowza’s video pricing page describes 24×7, simulated-live, and large-event streaming as available. This route can suit a technically capable operator seeking control over deployment, but the official pages reviewed do not establish a turnkey equivalent to scheduled YouTube playlist playout. Ask Wowza to confirm the exact scheduling workflow, YouTube output and automation, hosting model, channel count, and full operating cost. See Wowza Streaming Engine and Wowza video pricing.

- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
Wowza’s separate Streaming Engine pricing page displays $195/month for a Basic Monthly first instance and $295 for a one-month license. These figures concern Streaming Engine private-cloud/on-prem streaming; they should not be treated as the price of an all-in cloud playout bundle. Align infrastructure, delivery, support, transcoding, and bandwidth before comparing them with a managed service. See Wowza Streaming Engine pricing.
4. StreamYard: production rather than established continuous playout
StreamYard’s pricing page describes live streaming and recording plans and says customers can pay in USD or Indian rupees. The page reviewed does not establish scheduled, continuous cloud playlist playout to YouTube. Consider it for hosted live production or multistreaming, but confirm any 24/7 automation requirement directly before choosing it. See StreamYard pricing.
What the AWS cost examples do—and do not—tell you
MediaPackage charges for live workflows are only one part of an AWS bill. AWS bills for video ingested and content originated or packaged, recommends using a CDN such as CloudFront to cache content and reduce MediaPackage origination volume, and notes that encoding and viewer delivery can add substantial cost. See AWS MediaPackage pricing.

| AWS modeled example | Components in the example | Scope and assumptions |
|---|---|---|
| Approximately $69.74 for one hour | MediaLive $1.99; MediaPackage ingest $0.11; packaging/origination $0.40; CloudFront distribution $67.24. | AWS deployment guide example accessed in 2026: 1,000 viewers, SD-540p, US East (N. Virginia), standard pricing assumptions. Assumes viewers consume the highest bitrate and a 99% CDN cache/hit ratio. |
| Approximately $1,505.60 for one hour | MediaLive $3.75; MediaPackage ingest $0.28; packaging/origination $9.01; CloudFront distribution $1,492.56. | AWS deployment guide example accessed in 2026: 10,000 viewers, HD-1080p, US East (N. Virginia). Assumes viewers consume the highest bitrate and a 99% cache/hit ratio. |
AWS says its examples are likely higher than actual costs and that prices can change. They are modeled live-event examples, not quotes for a 24/7 creator channel or for India. Their useful lesson is that audience delivery can dominate an estimate: the CDN line is much larger than packaging in both examples. Build your own estimate around expected viewing hours, audience, bitrate, cache behavior, storage, encoding, redundancy, and regional pricing rather than multiplying an example into a flat monthly forecast. Full assumptions are in the AWS deployment guide.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How Indian creators should compare the options
There is no matched India-specific all-in cost comparison established by these published pages. The AWS worked examples are for US East (N. Virginia), Castr’s published prices are in USD, and StreamYard says it accepts INR without establishing the total cost of a continuous scheduled YouTube workflow. Confirm billing currency, taxes, bandwidth allowances or overages, and support terms directly with each provider. For StreamNeo in India, UPI is available alongside cards.
- Playout versus packaging: Does the service schedule finished files into a playlist, package an incoming feed, or do both?
- YouTube path: Is YouTube a direct destination? Who configures and protects the stream key, and how is a dropped stream restarted?
- Media handling: Which ingest and egress protocols are supported? Is transcoding or adaptive bitrate output included or required?
- Capacity and cost: Compare concurrent streams, storage, monthly bandwidth, viewer delivery charges, and overages for your actual audience.
- Resilience and operations: Account for failover, monitoring, alerts, regional availability, and the work needed to keep the channel healthy.
- India terms: Verify payment methods, currency, taxes, and support arrangements for your billing location.
Technical and YouTube checks before you commit
Do not confuse manifest limits with channel duration
AWS’s current live quota documentation lists a maximum 24-hour time-shifted manifest length and a maximum 24-hour Live-to-VOD manifest length. These are limits for those manifest features; they do not mean that a live channel can run for only 24 hours. Check current quotas and regional service availability in the AWS live quotas and the AWS deployment guide.

Check YouTube rights and channel rules
A service that can loop a file does not grant rights to the file or guarantee that YouTube will accept the stream or its monetization. Use content you own or are licensed to broadcast, and check YouTube’s current live-streaming, copyright, and monetization policies before scheduling a long-running channel. Do not assume that a pre-recorded stream is exempt from copyright claims or reused-content review.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home: your computer and home connection can be off. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for uploaded-video streaming to YouTube, not camera broadcasts. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can AWS Elemental MediaPackage schedule a playlist of uploaded videos to YouTube by itself?
MediaPackage is a packaging and origination component for incoming media, not a standalone uploaded-video playlist scheduler. A complete AWS workflow may require separate ingest/encoding and delivery services.
Are AWS’s one-hour cost examples a monthly price for an Indian 24/7 channel?
No. They are modeled one-hour live-event examples for US East (N. Virginia), with specified audience, resolution, bitrate, and cache assumptions—not an India channel quote.
