You can stream a 24/7 Hindi retro music playlist on YouTube without OBS by using a cloud playout service: upload recordings and visuals you have permission to broadcast, connect the service to a YouTube stream key, and let its servers deliver the feed. You still need to clear the music rights, prepare YouTube Live in advance, test privately, and monitor the broadcast—cloud hosting does not solve copyright restrictions.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled and account verification completed. YouTube for Artists advises enabling live streams at least 24 hours before the first planned broadcast: YouTube for Artists.
- Hindi retro recordings and any accompanying visuals that you own or are specifically authorized to broadcast.
- A cloud playout service that accepts uploaded media, can loop a playlist, and sends its output to YouTube. Check its current format, duration, playlist, recovery, and pricing limits before depending on it.
- A plan for monitoring the stream and responding to YouTube warnings or interruptions.
A song being available online, or included in a music subscription, does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it live. A Hindi song may involve rights in both the composition and the specific sound recording. Confirm that your permission covers live streaming, territories, duration, and any archive or monetization you intend. YouTube says a rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist even if you have a license; confirm this with the owner or distributor before launch. Set up a 24/7 Hindi retro stream without OBS
- Clear every track. Make a track-by-track record of the exact recordings and compositions in your playlist. Get confirmation for the intended broadcast uses and territories, and ask whether your channel must be allowlisted in Content ID. Do not go live with a track merely because it is old, widely available, or already uploaded elsewhere.
- Enable YouTube Live ahead of time. Verify the channel and enable live streaming before the planned start. YouTube for Artists says to allow at least 24 hours before a first broadcast. Start this step early enough to resolve any account issue.
- Prepare the media and playlist. Upload the cleared audio and any visuals to the cloud service. Arrange tracks in a playlist and check the order, transitions, and loop behavior. Keep local originals as a backup; a cloud playlist is not a substitute for retaining your source files.
- Connect the YouTube destination. In YouTube Studio, create or prepare the live stream and copy its stream key as directed by YouTube. Enter it in the playout service using that service’s current instructions. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it, and reset it if exposed. The 247 LiveStream product description documents a workflow using a YouTube stream key, but its feature claims are vendor-authored and should be checked against its current service details: 247 LiveStream.
- Test privately. Run the complete playlist-to-YouTube setup as a private stream before announcing the public broadcast. YouTube’s Live Streaming Guide recommends testing the full setup privately in YouTube Studio. Check that audio is present, the picture is acceptable, the playlist advances and repeats as expected, and YouTube shows the stream as live.
- Launch and monitor. Switch to the intended visibility and confirm the feed in YouTube Studio. Keep a person responsible for watching stream health and notices, especially when launching or changing the playlist. A cloud encoder can continue sending media, but it cannot resolve a rights claim or override a YouTube restriction.
Why copyright checks still matter during a live stream
YouTube states that “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can result in a placeholder, warning, interruption, or termination. A service that keeps transmitting does not prevent those outcomes. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and coordinate any necessary allowlisting with the rights owner before going public.
Choosing cloud playout for a no-OBS stream
Cloud playout fits the no-OBS requirement because the media is delivered from remote servers rather than encoded by a computer you leave running at home.
