Short answer: A cloud relay can forward an existing live feed to YouTube, but that is not the same as a complete internet-radio service that schedules audio, creates the stream, recovers from failures and monitors it around the clock. The available official documentation establishes YouTube delivery for cloud relays, not a turnkey 24/7 radio workflow. StreamNeo is a cloud option for a different workflow: it loops uploaded videos to YouTube, rather than receiving a live radio feed. If your station can use uploaded video programming, it is the first option to consider for a hands-off continuous stream; if it must go live from a radio playout system, verify that a provider supports that specific input and the unattended operations your station needs.
What cloud service can stream my radio station to YouTube continuously?
It depends on what you mean by “stream my radio station.” A cloud simulcasting service may take a live stream that your station already produces and forward it to YouTube. A radio automation or playout system, by contrast, schedules and plays the station’s audio. The reviewed official documentation does not establish a provider that combines both functions with guaranteed unattended 24/7 operation.
YouTube describes a cloud encoder workflow in which one high-quality live stream is sent to a cloud service for distribution to selected channels, resolutions or platforms. That can shift distribution work away from a local computer, but it does not show that the cloud service creates the radio programme, schedules tracks, encodes the original feed, restarts a failed playout system or monitors the whole chain. Cloudflare documents forwarding a live input to YouTube, but its simulcasting documentation likewise does not establish a radio scheduler or end-to-end radio package.
Start by identifying your source
- Existing live radio output: Your station’s playout system or encoder creates the live audio/video feed. You need a service that explicitly accepts that feed and sends it to YouTube.
- Pre-recorded programmes: You can use a service that loops uploaded video content, if a video-based presentation suits your station. StreamNeo does this for YouTube; it does not ingest a live radio feed or go live from a camera.
- Scheduled radio automation in the cloud: You need a provider that explicitly includes audio playout, scheduling and continuous YouTube delivery. The services documented here are not established as providing that complete workflow.
Which option should you consider first?
- StreamNeo — first for an uploaded-video workflow. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud to YouTube, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free. It is not a live-radio-feed relay: use it only if your station’s programming can be provided as uploaded videos. See StreamNeo.
- Cloudflare Stream simulcasting — documented as a live-video relay. Cloudflare documents forwarding a live input to YouTube and other destinations. Its documentation, updated April 21, 2026, says each live input can have up to 50 concurrent destinations, and that outputs can be added or removed during a broadcast. This is a documented simulcast capacity, not evidence of radio playout, continuous-operation guarantees, or automatic recovery.
- Restream — documented YouTube connection and stream-duration guidance. Restream documents connecting a YouTube channel and configuring a stream. Its guidance says YouTube has no stream-duration limit, but streams must be shorter than 12 hours to be archived. Restream also says its servers may be restarted for maintenance if a stream runs continuously for more than 24 hours, and recommends restarting streams every 24 hours. That is Restream-specific guidance, not a general limit for all cloud services.
These options do not have equivalent documented roles: StreamNeo loops uploaded videos, while Cloudflare and Restream documentation describes live-stream distribution or setup. The available information does not establish comparable pricing or a complete 24/7 internet-radio service across them. Ask vendors to confirm the exact workflow before committing.

How do I broadcast an internet radio station to YouTube 24/7?
For a live radio feed, plan the entire chain—not just the final relay. Your playout system must produce the programme; an encoder or supported cloud input must create or receive a YouTube-compatible live feed; and the service must handle reconnection, monitoring and any planned restarts. A relay is useful only if it accepts the output your station actually produces.
- Confirm YouTube eligibility. YouTube says the channel must be verified and live streaming enabled. If this is your first time going live, Restream’s setup documentation says YouTube activation requires verification and a 24-hour wait. Complete setup ahead of your intended launch.
- Choose the source and handoff. Establish whether the station sends an existing live stream to the cloud or whether the cloud service itself plays scheduled content. Ask for the supported input format and connection method, and determine which system is responsible for encoding and restarting the feed.
- Configure YouTube’s encoder details. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a live server URL and stream key. Enter them only in the encoder or service that will publish the stream. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not put it in public schedules, screenshots or support messages that are not secure.
- Test a short private or unlisted broadcast. Confirm that YouTube receives both sound and any required video, that the stream remains stable through a source interruption, and that the channel displays the expected title and programme. Check who receives failure alerts and who can restart the source.
- Design the continuous operating schedule. Ask the service how it handles disconnections, maintenance, planned restarts and handoff back to the station feed. Restream recommends restarting continuous streams every 24 hours because its servers may undergo maintenance beyond that duration. Do not assume that advice or behaviour applies to another provider.
- Plan the archive separately. YouTube says only streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A 24/7 broadcast should not be treated as a dependable 24-hour recording; decide whether you need separate recording and how programme archives will be retained.
- Review rights and channel permissions before going live. Check that the station has rights for the music and other third-party content in the stream, and confirm that relevant rights owners have allowlisted the channel where required.
Questions to ask a cloud provider before choosing it
Ask the vendor to describe the actual operating path from your station to YouTube. “Cloud streaming” can mean a relay that only distributes a feed, not a service that generates or schedules it.

YouTube archives, live interruptions and music rights
A continuous broadcast may not produce a continuous archive
YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Restream’s YouTube guidance states the same threshold. That is an archive limit, not a maximum live-stream duration: YouTube’s guidance does not state a stream-duration limit. For a station that needs recordings, arrange a separate recording or a programme-by-programme archive instead of relying on one uninterrupted 24/7 YouTube replay.
Copyright checks can interrupt live programming
YouTube says it scans all live streams for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted material in another live broadcast. If detected content remains in a stream, YouTube may interrupt or terminate it. YouTube also warns that licensed content can still be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. A licence alone may therefore not resolve a live-stream match; check the rights terms and channel permissions before broadcasting.

Common problems and what to check
- YouTube does not accept the stream: Check that live streaming is enabled and the channel has been verified. Confirm that the service is using the correct live server URL and stream key, and that the key has not been changed or exposed.
- The cloud service connects, but no radio programme is playing: Determine whether the service is a relay or a playout system. A relay forwards a feed; it cannot create missing station output unless the vendor explicitly provides playout.
- The broadcast stops or restarts: Identify whether the interruption began at the station source, the relay or YouTube. Ask the provider about its maintenance and reconnection behaviour; do not assume another provider follows Restream’s 24-hour restart recommendation.
- A long broadcast has no complete YouTube replay: Streams of 12 hours or more are not covered by YouTube’s stated automatic-archive threshold. Use a separate recording and archive process.
- Music triggers an interruption: Review YouTube’s copyright notice, confirm the station’s rights for the detected material, and check whether the relevant rights owner needs to allowlist the channel.
Costs and a cloud option for uploaded programming
For a live-radio workflow, compare the cost of the full chain: playout or automation, encoding, cloud relay, monitoring, recording and any continuous-use limits. The cited YouTube, Cloudflare and Restream documentation does not establish comparable current prices for a complete unattended radio service.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your station can use uploaded videos rather than a live playout feed, StreamNeo is a more direct way to keep that YouTube stream running: upload a video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. The video streams as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. In India, UPI and cards are supported; card checkout is available worldwide. Read more at streamneo.com, or start the free day on StreamNeo.
