To run a 24/7 morning aarti stream on YouTube, first enable live streaming for your channel, then send a rights-cleared audio-and-video feed from an encoder to YouTube’s Live Control Room. Use an upload connection with spare capacity, monitor the feed and plan for interruptions. Treat the live broadcast and its replay as separate tasks: YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, so plan shorter sessions and local recordings if a complete archive matters.
What you need before going live
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming.
- An encoder—software on a capable computer or dedicated hardware—to send the video and audio feed.
- A stable internet connection with enough upload capacity for the selected stream settings, plus power and recovery plans for an always-on operation.
- Rights to use the exact devotional recording, composition and performance in a live broadcast, and in any replay you intend to retain.
- A person or process that can monitor stream health, audio, video and interruptions.
YouTube does not require a particular encoder, broadband plan or India-specific devotional format in the guidance cited here. Choose the setup according to the feed you want to produce and the conditions where it will run.
1. Check that your channel can stream
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Its general live-streaming guidance says streamers must be at least 16. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable the feature well before the intended start. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance has the current requirements.
2. Prepare the stream in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room.
- Create or schedule an encoder stream. Add a clear title and description, choose the correct audience setting and privacy, and schedule it if viewers should be able to find it in advance.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the stream into your encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it. Reset it if you think someone else has access.
- Start the encoder before the broadcast’s planned start time. Wait for the Live Control Room preview and check that the intended audio and video are arriving before you make the stream public or begin the scheduled broadcast.
YouTube documents scheduled encoder streams and reusable stream settings. Confirm the watch page is the one you intend viewers to use, and test access from a phone as well as your production screen. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.

3. Choose encoder settings that your connection can sustain
Use the current encoder guidance for the exact resolution, frame rate and codec you select. YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS workflows and lists H.264, H.265 and AV1 video options, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate encoding, frame rates up to 60 fps, and a recommended keyframe interval of 2 seconds (not over 4 seconds). YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its bitrate guidance varies by resolution, frame rate and codec; use the applicable row rather than copying a single bitrate out of context. Check YouTube’s current encoder settings and bitrate table before configuring the encoder.
Measure the actual outbound upload connection at the location and time the stream will run. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom; total stream bitrate should not exceed available upload capacity. If you plan to send primary and backup streams, account for both streams plus headroom. A mostly static aarti visual may work well at a modest supported resolution; 4K is not automatically necessary for this kind of scene. That is a practical starting point, not a YouTube rule. 4. Test the complete feed before relying on it
- Run a test using the actual audio and representative video, not just a silent placeholder.
- Check the Live Control Room preview, stream-health indicators and playback on the intended watch page.
- Listen on a phone or another device. Confirm speech or devotional audio is clear, levels are stable and there is no clipping, silence or unintended background sound.
- Watch for video freezes, dropped frames or unstable upload. Confirm the encoder’s local recording is being written and its file is growing if you are keeping a local archive.
- If you have a backup encoder or connection, test switching to it. A backup can reduce recovery time, but it does not guarantee an uninterrupted stream.
- Decide who will respond to an encoder, network, power, audio or copyright interruption, and keep relevant contact details and rights documentation accessible.
YouTube’s event-oriented setup advice includes starting the encoder ahead of time, checking preview and watch-page access, testing failover, verifying local archive growth, and monitoring audio and video. 5. Plan the replay separately from the live feed
A 24-hour live broadcast is not a dependable way to create a complete YouTube replay. YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived and warns: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” The page does not promise an archive for every stream under that limit either. YouTube’s archive guidance explains the limit.

Shorter planned broadcasts are more dependable for YouTube-generated archives than one uninterrupted feed, while a local recording gives you another copy to manage. Check storage, recording continuity and whether your audio rights also cover the replay. A local file is not automatically cleared for publication.
6. Clear the devotional audio rights
Do not assume that a traditional melody, temple recording, purchased audio file or devotional song is automatically cleared for a YouTube live stream. Rights may apply separately to the composition, the particular sound recording and a performance. Identify the rights for the exact material and obtain permission that covers the intended live use, territories, duration and any replay. YouTube’s live terms place responsibility for necessary rights on the provider, including applicable music licensing rights and legal requirements. Read YouTube’s Terms of Service; the applicable local legal position can depend on the work and circumstances.

YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder, interruption or termination. Even licensed content may be interrupted if the rightsholder has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. YouTube Help states: “If your channel isn’t added to their allowlist, your live stream can be interrupted even if you’ve licensed the third-party content.” Ask the rights owner about allowlisting when relevant, and retain written permission. Creator Music is not a workaround for an aarti broadcast: YouTube says its Creator Music licenses and revenue-sharing tracks cannot be used in live streams. Prefer original material, material confirmed to be public domain for the relevant use, or music with permission that explicitly covers live streaming. A “free to use” note in a description alone does not establish that you have the necessary rights. Check YouTube’s Creator Music usage terms and its general music guidance.
7. Choose an operating setup
Software encoder on a computer
A software encoder can suit a creator who already has a capable computer and knows how to configure, monitor and restart it. For a continuous service, account for the computer’s power and heat, operating-system updates, encoder crashes, internet loss and the need for someone to respond. YouTube’s guidance does not rank specific software or establish how reliably a particular computer will run unattended.

Dedicated hardware encoder
A hardware encoder is an option when you want a dedicated device to send a feed to YouTube. Check that a candidate device supports the resolution, frame rate, codec and network connection you need, and understand its restart and recovery behavior. YouTube mentions professional hardware encoders but does not require one or recommend a particular model.
