These are YouTube’s recommended stereo encoder settings; they are not a Hindi-specific mastering preset or a loudness target. Check the quietest and loudest passages, transitions, and the actual YouTube preview before leaving a devotional stream running.
Recommended audio settings for YouTube Live

These are delivery settings, not instructions to raise or lower the music’s loudness. YouTube does not specify an integrated loudness target, peak ceiling, compression ratio, or special profile for Hindi devotional music in this guidance. Do not treat 128 Kbps as a volume setting, or assume that a higher bitrate such as 320 Kbps is a better-matched YouTube Live setting. See YouTube’s encoder settings guidance.
Prepare the audio for a continuous devotional stream
Check the source before encoding
Listen through the recordings or playlist for unwanted silence, noise, distortion, abrupt edits, and large level differences between tracks. A devotional or traditional subject does not guarantee consistent mastering: one bhajan may be much quieter or louder than the next. Avoid making broad level changes without listening to the result; the goal is a steady, intelligible program without clipping or sudden jumps.
Test representative material
Before going live, test with audio and movement similar to the intended broadcast. Include the quietest and loudest material, song changes, intros and outros, gaps, and any crossfades. Listen on an ordinary playback device as well as monitoring headphones if available; YouTube does not require headphones.

Inspect the stream preview and monitor operation
Check the audio in the YouTube Live Control Room preview, not only in a local file player. During operation, watch for encoder disconnects, dropouts, clipping, abrupt level changes, or unexpected silence. YouTube instructs creators: “During the event, monitor the stream health and review messages.” Its guidance calls for monitoring stream and audio/video quality; the checklist here is practical advice, not a YouTube-prescribed measurement standard. Choose RTMPS or HLS for the workflow
RTMP/RTMPS: the common encoder route
For a typical encoder workflow, use RTMPS where your encoder supports it; YouTube recommends the encrypted RTMPS connection for delivery to its servers. For stereo audio on this path, YouTube lists AAC or MP3, with 128 Kbps and 44.1 kHz as its recommended bitrate and sample rate.

HLS: a different ingestion option, not a sound-quality upgrade
YouTube’s HLS guidance also specifies 128 Kbps and 44.1 kHz for stereo, but lists AAC, AC3, and EAC3 audio codecs. HLS delivers video in segments and has higher latency than RTMP. Choose it when the workflow requires or supports HLS, not to improve devotional audio quality. Follow YouTube’s HLS segment-duration and playlist requirements in its encoder settings documentation.
Allow enough upload capacity for a reliable stream
YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. Plan for the full outbound stream and, if you use one, the backup stream as well. Test on the network and at the location that will carry the broadcast; a connection that works for ordinary browsing may not be reliable enough for uninterrupted streaming. These network precautions help continuity, but they do not change the recommended audio bitrate or sample rate. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Confirm music rights before a 24/7 broadcast
A song’s religious, traditional, or devotional subject does not establish that a recording is free to use. The sound recording and the underlying composition can have separate rights holders. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the provider to hold the necessary rights, including music licenses: Livestream terms and conditions.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If identified content remains, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: YouTube says the rights holder may need to add the channel to an allowlist. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

YouTube describes safe music as music that is public domain or used with permission. It points creators to the Audio Library and Creator Music, but Creator Music tracks cannot be used in live streams under its current usage details. Confirm that permission covers the actual recording and live-stream use; a “free” or “royalty-free” label alone is not enough. See YouTube’s safe-music tips and Creator Music usage details.

A local encoder gives you direct control, but your encoder, power, internet connection, and monitoring process must remain available for the stream to continue. YouTube’s setup and test recommendations apply whether the program is devotional music or another prerecorded format. For a 24/7 run, test a full representative playlist, plan for network interruptions, and monitor stream health and audio quality rather than assuming that a successful start guarantees uninterrupted operation.

YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder. That listing alone does not establish uptime guarantees, suitability for a particular channel, or the current terms of any service. Compare a hosted workflow with a local encoder on control, dependence on your own power and internet, monitoring and recovery arrangements, service limits, and verified uptime terms. YouTube’s encoder settings do not prescribe a Hindi-specific audio profile; choose based on the source and validate the real stream.
