You can run a 24/7 Bollywood instrumental stream by sending a continuous audio-and-video feed to YouTube from an encoder such as OBS, or by using a cloud service. The hard part is not removing vocals: you need permission for every recording, composition and visual asset used in the stream, and YouTube can still detect and interrupt third-party content. Instrumental arrangements are not automatically cleared for broadcast.

Clear the music and visuals before you set up the stream

Make a rights inventory for every track and visual asset before building a playlist. A Bollywood recording can involve separate rights in the sound recording and the underlying composition, so permission for one does not necessarily clear the other.

  • Record each asset’s title, source, recording owner and relevant composition or publishing stakeholders.
  • Get written permission that covers YouTube live streaming, the territories where the stream will be available, the duration of use, and whether monetization is allowed.
  • Decide whether YouTube will retain an archive or replay. Confirm that the rights cover that use too.
  • Ask the rights holder or distributor whether your channel needs to be added to its Content ID allowlist. Keep agreements and correspondence.
  • Clear the visuals as carefully as the music, including artwork, animations, photographs and any footage in the loop.

YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions put responsibility on the provider to hold the necessary worldwide rights for live content, including music rights. Licensing obligations vary by territory and catalog; seek qualified advice for the jurisdictions and repertoire you plan to use.

A purchase receipt, attribution, a “royalty-free” label, or removing vocals does not by itself establish that a track is cleared for a continuous live broadcast. If commissioning instrumental arrangements, make sure the written agreement grants or licenses the relevant recording and composition rights for the stream and any replay.

Why YouTube may interrupt a properly licensed stream

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the broadcast. YouTube advises creators who have licensed third-party material to ask the owner to allowlist their channel in Content ID. A license does not guarantee that automated matching will not interrupt the feed. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

Creator Music is not a shortcut for this use: its FAQ says it does not support licensing live content. Its eligible track arrangements concern eligible videos, not a continuous live radio stream.

Prepare a playlist and a visual loop

Build the playlist only from material you have cleared for the intended live use. Decide the order, transitions and how the loop returns to its start; listen through the full sequence so you can catch gaps, abrupt level changes, silence or a track that fails to play. Keep a rights record alongside the playlist so you can identify a track quickly if a warning appears.

Prepare a visual that you are also entitled to use. It might be original artwork or animation, but a static or repeating visual does not replace the need for the music rights, and permission for the music does not automatically cover the visual.

Set up a local 24/7 YouTube encoder stream

This route gives you direct control over the encoder and media workflow. The computer, encoder, power and upload connection must remain available while you want the stream to run. YouTube distinguishes the broadcast event from the stream that carries the actual media feed; its Live Streaming API overview explains that relationship.

  1. Enable live streaming in your channel in advance. In YouTube Studio, open the live workflow and check that the channel can create a live broadcast before you plan to go on air.
  2. Create or schedule the broadcast. Use YouTube Studio’s current live workflow to set up the event. Keep the broadcast’s stream key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your channel. Do not publish it in a description, overlay or public playlist.
  3. Configure OBS as the encoder. Select the appropriate YouTube service and enter the stream key through OBS’s streaming settings, or connect OBS to the broadcast using YouTube’s current workflow. OBS is the local application that sends the feed; the YouTube broadcast is the event viewers watch.
  4. Add the playlist and visual. Configure the audio source and looping video or visual source, then confirm that both continue through the transition from the last item back to the first. Check that the audio is present and that the visual behaves as intended.
  5. Match the output to YouTube’s current ingest guidance. Set the output resolution, frame rate, bitrate and keyframe interval in OBS according to the current settings YouTube shows for the broadcast and the capacity of your upload connection. Do not choose a bitrate your connection cannot sustain. The available recommendations can change; OBS’s help resources cover its encoder controls, including hardware encoding.
  6. Start the feed and verify it in YouTube Studio. Confirm that YouTube receives audio and video and that the broadcast is live before relying on the loop. Check the control room for connection status and copyright warnings.

YouTube for Artists notes that an encoder offers more customization and control than a simple mobile or webcam stream; its guide to going live for music channels is a useful overview. OBS and hardware performance vary by computer and configuration, so test your selected playlist and output before leaving the stream unattended.

Keep the stream monitored and decide what happens to the replay

Check the YouTube live control room while the stream is running, especially when first testing the setup. Keep a way to pause the broadcast or replace a track promptly if YouTube reports a match. If you archive the stream, review the resulting video for Content ID claims after the live event; the replay needs its own coverage under the rights you obtained.

Plan for interruptions rather than assuming a local encoder will recover by itself. The operator is responsible for noticing a dropped connection or stalled playlist and restoring the feed. Keep the stream key private, limit access to the computer and channel, and know how to stop or restart the broadcast safely.

Copyright permission and monetization are separate decisions

Having permission to stream a track does not guarantee YouTube Partner Program eligibility or ad revenue. YouTube says monetization policies apply to live streams; its channel monetization policies identify repetitive or mass-produced programming as inauthentic content and assess reused content separately from copyright. A continuous playlist may therefore face a policy review even if you have cleared its music.

Distinctive curation, original artwork or animation, track information, editorial framing and meaningful programming variety can give a channel more original value. These are sensible editorial choices, not a promise of monetization approval.

Troubleshoot common problems

  • YouTube replaces the feed or warns about copyright: A third-party match may have been detected. Check the control room, identify the material, and pause or replace it as needed. Contact the rights holder about channel allowlisting; do not assume that a license alone prevents automated matching.
  • The stream stops when the computer or connection fails: A local encoder depends on the computer, power and upload connection staying available. Restore the feed and check the broadcast in YouTube Studio; plan monitoring and recovery for future outages.
  • YouTube receives video but no audio, or the loop goes silent: Check OBS’s selected audio source and playlist playback, then listen through the transition where the problem occurs. Verify the feed again in the live control room.
  • The feed is unstable or YouTube does not receive it reliably: Check the encoder’s connection state and whether the selected bitrate is sustainable on the available upload connection. Compare the output settings with YouTube’s current ingest guidance and retest before leaving the stream running.
  • A claim appears on the replay after the live event: Review the archived video and the applicable rights. A live broadcast and its retained archive are distinct uses; make sure your permission covers both.
  • The channel is not monetized despite cleared music: Review YouTube’s channel-level monetization rules as well as the rights. Copyright clearance and eligibility for monetization are separate questions.

Or let it run in the cloud

For a hosted option, StreamNeo is the first service to consider here: it keeps a YouTube stream running from the cloud, accepts uploaded videos or playlists, and streams them at the quality uploaded up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot.

  1. Upload a recording or build a playlist.
  2. Add your YouTube stream key once.
  3. Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded content from the cloud.

Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. One slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery and StreamNeo team support. StreamNeo is for uploaded video sent to YouTube; it does not clear music or visual rights, so the same permissions and Content ID considerations still apply.
