To stream on TikTok and Twitch at the same time, send one OBS feed to a multistream relay, connect both accounts, enable both destinations, and start the stream in OBS. A browser-based studio is another option. First check that your TikTok account can use desktop or third-party streaming tools: access is not guaranteed for every account.
Choose a workflow
Both documented approaches send the same live session to TikTok and Twitch. Use a relay with OBS if you already have OBS scenes and want OBS to remain your encoder. Choose a browser studio if you prefer to set up the broadcast in a browser without installing streaming software.
- OBS and a multistream relay: OBS sends one encoder feed to the relay, which distributes it to the enabled platforms.
- Browser studio: Connect the platforms in the studio, give the browser camera and microphone access, then enable both destinations.
Either route depends on your TikTok account having the access required by the service. Check the account and the service’s current requirements before building your setup.
Set up OBS through a multistream relay
- Connect both platform accounts. In the relay service, authorize TikTok and Twitch. Confirm that both appear as connected destinations.
- Create a stream for encoder input. Start a new stream in the relay and choose its encoder or RTMP input option. Enable TikTok and Twitch as destinations for that stream.
- Copy the relay credentials into OBS. Copy the relay’s stream key and select the relay service in OBS if it is listed. Otherwise, select the custom RTMP option and enter the server and key supplied by the relay. Labels vary by service and may change.
- Start the broadcast from OBS. Check the relay dashboard to confirm it receives the feed and that both destinations are enabled. Verify each platform’s live view after the relay distributes the stream.
The relay route is one encoder feed distributed to two destinations; you do not start separate OBS broadcasts for each platform. The precise setup labels depend on the relay you use.

Use a browser studio instead
- Connect your TikTok and Twitch accounts in the studio.
- Create a new stream and allow the browser to access your camera and microphone if prompted.
- Enable both channels, enter the stream details, and check the preview and audio.
- Go live from the studio and confirm that both destinations show the broadcast.
This route avoids installing streaming software, but requires the browser permissions needed for your camera and microphone. Restream documents both this studio workflow and the OBS relay approach; service interfaces and availability can change.
Check TikTok access before you plan the broadcast
TikTok desktop and third-party streaming access may not be available to every account. Restream’s OBS guide notes that TikTok RTMP access is not universal. Its help guidance, dated July 9, 2026, describes an authorization and approval process for its TikTok integration and a condition that gaming content make up 50% for third-party tool access. That is Restream’s stated guidance, not a universal TikTok rule.

Check your own TikTok account and the current requirements of the streaming tool you intend to use. If you cannot connect TikTok or do not see the required streaming option, confirm eligibility with TikTok and the tool provider rather than assuming a relay or studio can bypass the restriction.
Keep the Twitch broadcast within its rules
Twitch defines simulcasting as “the act of broadcasting the same stream to multiple platforms at once.” It allows simulcasting subject to its guidelines and any creator-specific agreement requiring exclusivity. Read Twitch’s Simulcasting Guidelines FAQ before going live.

- Do not use your Twitch broadcast to direct viewers to a live stream on another service.
- Do not make the Twitch viewing experience worse than the experience on another platform. Keep viewing quality comparable across destinations.
- If you have an agreement that requires exclusivity, follow it; Twitch’s general permission does not override your individual agreement.
Protect your stream keys
A stream key identifies the stream and is required by encoder software. Twitch warns creators not to share or show their key. Treat both platform and relay keys as private credentials: do not include them in screenshots, overlays, public chat, or a recording you intend to publish. Twitch explains this in its stream-key FAQ.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
- TikTok is missing or cannot be connected: The account may not have desktop or third-party access, or the tool may require authorization or approval. Check the account’s eligibility and the provider’s current requirements.
- The relay receives no OBS feed: Check that OBS is set to the relay’s server and stream key, and that the relay stream is configured for encoder or RTMP input. Copy credentials carefully; never post them publicly while seeking help.
- Only one platform appears live: Recheck that both destinations are enabled in the relay or browser studio, then check each platform’s live view. The workflow depends on enabling both destinations, not just connecting the accounts.
- The browser studio cannot use camera or microphone: Check the browser’s site permissions and grant access to the devices you intend to use, then revisit the studio preview.
- The Twitch broadcast directs viewers elsewhere or has noticeably worse quality: Remove calls directing viewers to another live service and adjust the workflow so the Twitch viewing experience is not degraded relative to the other destination.
