Some do, but “RTMP support” can mean two different things. Restream documents receiving an RTMP feed from an encoder such as OBS and sending it to YouTube. Other continuous-stream services, including Gyre and StreamNeo, describe a different workflow: you upload prerecorded video, and the service sends the resulting live stream to YouTube. That is RTMP output—not proof that the service accepts your external RTMP feed.
RTMP input and RTMP output are not the same
RTMP is a way to carry a live video stream between systems. To find out whether a service will accept your signal, check the direction of the connection:
- Incoming RTMP contribution: Your encoder—such as OBS—sends a live feed to a service, which forwards it to YouTube. This is the meaning of RTMP input.
- RTMP output to YouTube: You upload a video file to a cloud service. It loops that recording and sends a live broadcast to YouTube. YouTube receives the stream, but the service may not accept an incoming feed from your encoder.
A service page that mentions RTMP without spelling out the direction does not answer whether it accepts your encoder’s feed. Ask whether you can provide an RTMP or RTMPS input URL and stream key, and whether that incoming feed can run unattended for the period you need.
Which 24/7 streaming services document RTMP input?
Among the services covered here, Restream explicitly documents an incoming encoder workflow. Gyre and StreamNeo describe uploaded-video looping to YouTube; those workflows do not establish external RTMP input.

Restream’s documentation establishes protocol support, not a guarantee of continuous operation, reconnect behavior, or a particular plan’s limits. Gyre’s description of its own service is vendor-authored. No independent uptime or quality comparison is established for these services here; verify current terms and capabilities with the provider before relying on a setup.
How to send an encoder feed to YouTube
If your goal is to stream a live signal from OBS or another encoder, YouTube’s standard encoder workflow uses a stream URL and stream key. The exact labels can vary by encoder; YouTube gives these steps:

- Enable live streaming on your YouTube channel. YouTube’s cited help page says first-time enablement requires phone verification followed by a 24-hour wait.
- Choose YouTube in your encoder if it is available. Otherwise, open YouTube’s live setup and copy the stream URL into your encoder’s Server setting.
- Copy the stream key into the encoder’s Stream Key setting. Treat it like a password: anyone with the key may be able to broadcast to your channel. Do not publish it or send it to an untrusted service.
- Start the encoder and confirm the stream appears in YouTube’s live control room before beginning the broadcast.
YouTube says it does not impose a stream-duration limit, but only streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a continuous 24/7 broadcast will produce a complete replay.
Questions to ask before choosing a 24/7 service
First decide whether you need to relay a live encoder feed or loop uploaded recordings. Then confirm the details that matter for that workflow.

- For an encoder feed: Does the service accept incoming RTMP or RTMPS? Can it run unattended, and what are the simultaneous-destination limits? What happens when the input drops? How are stream keys handled, and where do you manage YouTube event details?
- For uploaded-video looping: Which file formats are accepted? What are the upload and storage limits? Can you schedule or restart a stream, and how many broadcasts can run at once? What output resolution and frame rate are available, and how do you set up the YouTube event?
- For either approach: Check the current plan restrictions and recovery behavior. A protocol checkbox does not establish 24/7 reliability. Confirm archive expectations separately, especially for broadcasts lasting 12 hours or longer.
