What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Short answer: YouTube’s Android app lets eligible channels start a mobile live stream or cast their phone screen, but its documented mobile workflow does not offer direct upload-and-broadcast of a prerecorded video file. To stream a finished video as a YouTube Live event, use an encoder workflow or a service that explicitly supports prerecorded playback; if you want to operate from a phone, verify the service’s current features and terms first.
Choose the right workflow for your goal
First decide whether you want viewers to see your phone screen as you use it, or want a finished video file to play as a live event. Those are different workflows.
- Show the phone screen in real time: YouTube’s Android mobile-live flow includes Screencast. The phone screen is the source.
- Broadcast a prerecorded video: YouTube’s documented Android app steps do not describe selecting a video file and sending it directly as a live broadcast. Use an encoder-based setup or investigate a third-party service that explicitly advertises this function.
YouTube describes mobile streaming as “Good for vlogging and quick updates from your phone or tablet.” That is a useful distinction: the native mobile workflow is designed around a live phone source, not a finished-file playback control. YouTube’s live-streaming overview explains its supported methods.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
- At least 50 subscribers.
- A verified YouTube channel.
- No live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days.
- Live streaming enabled for the channel.
- Android 8.0 or newer.
First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Check the channel’s live-streaming access in advance rather than waiting until the planned broadcast. These requirements apply to mobile live streaming; YouTube’s encoder workflow is a separate route. See YouTube’s Android mobile-stream setup instructions.
Start a native YouTube mobile stream or screen cast
This is the documented phone workflow. It is appropriate when the phone itself is the live source, not when you need to select a prerecorded file as direct input.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
- Open the YouTube app on your Android device and sign in to the eligible channel.
- Tap Create, then Live.
- Edit the stream details. You can schedule the stream if you are preparing it ahead of time.
- If you want to show the phone display, choose Screencast. The source is the screen, so what appears in the broadcast depends on the app and device.
- Review the stream details and visibility, then tap Go live when ready.
Do not assume that opening a video in another app and screen-casting it will capture its picture and sound correctly. Capture behavior depends on the app and device, and some content or audio may not be available to the stream. If you are considering this workaround, test with a private or unlisted rehearsal before a public event, and confirm the video, audio, orientation, visibility, and playback from another device.
Use an encoder for a prerecorded-video event
YouTube documents encoders as a way to produce live streams, including screen sharing and more advanced production. In an encoder workflow, the encoder supplies the video and audio to YouTube; it is the more relevant route when the source is playback rather than a live phone camera. You can use software or hardware compatible with your setup, but verify its current ability to play a file as the source before choosing it.

- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule the live stream.
- Set up your encoder to connect to the event using the stream details shown by YouTube. Keep the stream key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a broadcast to your event.
- In the encoder, select the prerecorded video as the playback source if that encoder supports file playback, and configure its audio and video output.
- Start the encoder and wait for YouTube’s preview. Check that both picture and sound are arriving before making the event public or beginning the planned program.
- Confirm that the event can be watched on mobile, then monitor audio and video during the broadcast.
YouTube recommends preparing ahead of time, checking the preview, confirming mobile playback, and monitoring the stream. Its setup guidance is at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder and Streaming tips.
If phone-only operation is essential
A third-party Android app may advertise prerecorded-video streaming to YouTube. For example, GoLiveIndia advertises uploading a prerecorded video or using a video URL for a YouTube live broadcast in its mobile app. That is the vendor’s claim, not a feature verified or endorsed by YouTube. Before relying on it, check that it is currently available to you, what it costs, what permissions it requests, how it handles your video and stream key, and what technical limits or terms apply. Review the provider’s current information directly.

Troubleshooting before and during the event
- You cannot find the Live option: Check the channel’s subscriber count, verification, live-streaming enablement, and recent restrictions. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- The phone’s screen is live, but the prerecorded video is not: Screencast sends the screen; it is not documented as direct file ingestion. Use a file-capable encoder or verify a third-party app’s current workflow.
- Viewers can see the video but cannot hear it: Screen-capture audio depends on the app and device. Rehearse and confirm audio in YouTube’s preview; use an encoder workflow if the phone method cannot provide reliable sound.
- The video appears sideways, cropped, or with the wrong screen visible: Check orientation and the exact source being shared during a private rehearsal, then verify the preview and mobile playback.
- The event is scheduled but no picture arrives: Confirm that the encoder is connected to the correct YouTube event and stream details, then inspect the encoder output and YouTube preview before going public.
- YouTube access is restricted: Review the channel’s notices and applicable platform rules; changing the streaming method does not make unauthorized content or restricted streaming permissible.
Or let it run in the cloud

Nothing has to stay running at home; it streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are accepted in India. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
