StreamNeo is the first Gyre alternative to compare if you want uploaded videos to loop on YouTube without leaving a computer on: it runs in the cloud, supports uploads up to 4K at 60 fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a first day free with no card. If you need scenes, overlays, plugins, or live camera and browser sources, OBS—locally or on a hosted machine—offers more production control but requires more setup and upkeep. The right choice depends on your stream count, storage, output quality, destinations, and how much infrastructure you want to manage.
What Gyre alternatives actually replace
Gyre describes a managed workflow: upload prerecorded files, arrange them in a playlist, connect a platform, start a scheduled stream, and let the playlist repeat. Because the provider handles streaming in the cloud, your local computer does not need to stay on. Its current product page lists plans with differences in simultaneous streams, playlists and scheduling, storage, resolution and frame rate, and watermarking. Check Gyre’s current plans and limits before treating any displayed price or feature as current.
Alternatives generally fall into two categories: managed cloud services, which handle playback and streaming through a browser dashboard, and OBS-based setups, which give you more production control but leave more setup and maintenance to you. A tool that merely broadcasts a live camera feed is not necessarily a substitute for uploading a video library and looping it.
Managed cloud alternatives
1. StreamNeo
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; StreamNeo loops the video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to remain on. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera feed.

LiveReacting
LiveReacting advertises prerecorded and 24/7 playlist streams alongside browser-based live shows and interactive features. That broader studio feature set may matter if you want live-show tools in addition to looping, but it is not evidence that a particular plan matches your required stream count, storage, quality, or destinations. Its comparison and pricing information is vendor-published; verify current details on LiveReacting’s Gyre alternative page.
Other managed services
Upstream, Live247, playout.video, and StreamHouse are also named in a published comparison of tools for continuous streaming. That comparison characterizes Upstream as a browser studio for prerecorded loops, Live247 as a usage-priced YouTube playlist workflow, and playout.video as cloud playout with broad destination support. These are comparative descriptions, not independent hands-on findings; confirm supported destinations, plan limits, and current features directly with each provider. The comparison is available at Space-Node’s 2026 tools overview.

OBS: more control, more responsibility
OBS can be configured for scenes, plugins, overlays, browser sources, live inputs, and stream settings. For prerecorded looping, you must build and maintain the playback workflow yourself; OBS is not a managed upload-and-repeat service by default. Running OBS on a local machine means keeping suitable hardware and a reliable internet connection available. Running it on a hosted server or remote Windows desktop can keep your home computer off while preserving more control than a closed SaaS dashboard, but adds server configuration and troubleshooting.
A 2026 commercial comparison discusses OBS hosting as a fit for creators who need production control, while noting the setup and maintenance tradeoff. It is not a hands-on benchmark, so use it as a starting point rather than proof of comparative reliability or performance: read the comparison.

How to choose a replacement
| What matters | Managed cloud service | OBS locally or hosted |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow | Upload or arrange files in a provider dashboard; check playlist and scheduling limits. | Configure playback, scenes, and stream settings yourself. |
| Continuity | Check whether looping, scheduling, and recovery after a dropped connection are included. | You maintain the machine or server and diagnose interruptions. |
| Scale | Compare simultaneous streams, channels, storage, file limits, and video-length limits by plan. | Capacity depends on your configuration and hosting resources; the cited comparison does not state a universal limit. |
| Output and destinations | Verify resolution, frame rate, and every required platform on the exact plan. | You control encoder and scene configuration, but must configure each output and ensure the server or connection can sustain it. |
| Production control | Depends on the provider’s dashboard and available live-show tools. | More direct control over scenes, plugins, overlays, and live inputs. |
| Total effort and cost | Compare the subscription at your required stream count and storage, not just its entry plan. | Account for operator time, hardware or hosted-server costs, and ongoing maintenance. |
Before switching, write down how many streams and channels you need, how much video you will store, the resolution and frame rate you intend to send, whether scheduling matters, and which destinations must be supported. Then check those requirements against the specific plan. A low advertised starting price is not a functional replacement if it omits a needed playlist, schedule, stream slot, storage allowance, or output.

A looping tool does not grant rights to the videos or music you upload. Use material you own or are authorized to stream, and check the rights for music, footage, and other included content. A copyright claim, restriction, or takedown can affect a stream regardless of the service or encoder used. Review YouTube’s current rules and the service’s terms before scheduling a continuous broadcast.

Continuous playback by itself does not establish that a channel will grow or qualify for monetization. Gyre’s product page includes growth claims, but those are vendor marketing statements rather than independently substantiated results in the available evidence. No independent, methodologically described evidence establishes that the named alternatives reliably increase audience or revenue.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a managed YouTube loop, upload your video or create a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; the uploaded file streams as made up to 4K at 60 fps at one price per slot, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month.
