You can keep a fireplace video live on YouTube from an India-based VPS by sending an encoded feed from the server to YouTube’s RTMPS ingestion endpoint. You need footage and audio you have the rights to use, an encoder running on the VPS, a YouTube live stream key, and a server/network setup capable of operating continuously. No particular India VPS provider or plan is established here, so choose one only after checking its region, outbound traffic rules, compute capacity, storage, support, and current price.
What the setup does
The VPS runs the video encoder and sends its output to YouTube. YouTube’s RTMPS method carries RTMP over an SSL connection; the connection uses a valid YouTube ingestion endpoint and application name with port 443. See Google’s RTMPS ingestion guide.
In YouTube’s LiveStreams API, the stream resource provides the RTMPS ingestion address and assigned stream name. It also exposes a backup ingestion address. These are the platform’s ingest details, not a ready-made VPS or encoder configuration. See the LiveStreams API reference.
Choose a VPS for the actual workload
There is no verified provider or India VPS plan to recommend on location alone. Compare current specifications and terms before paying; a server that can store a video is not necessarily a good choice for encoding and continuously sending it.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- India region: Confirm that the provider currently offers the location you need. Do not assume an India-based plan is available from a provider without checking its own listing.
- Outbound traffic: Check the included data-transfer allowance, overage rates, and any throttling. Continuous video upload can use substantial outbound traffic, depending on bitrate and stream duration.
- CPU: Determine whether the workflow must encode in real time or can send a compatible existing encode without re-encoding. Real-time encoding needs suitable compute capacity.
- Storage: Allow for the source video and any local recording you intend to keep. A long-running stream is not a substitute for a local archive.
- Network and support: Check the provider’s network terms, service support, and whether continuous media streaming is permitted.
- Total cost: Compare the current full cost, including transfer overages and storage, rather than relying on an advertised base rate.
Prepare the video and protect your rights
Use fireplace footage and sound recordings you own or are licensed to use for this purpose. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: YouTube says licensed third-party content may require the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube scans live streams for matches, and a match can produce a warning or placeholder; continued use can lead to temporary interruption or termination. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the rights needed to use the content on Google services, including applicable music rights, and to meet relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Secure rights for both the visual footage and any music or other sound recording: YouTube livestream terms and conditions.

Before starting, confirm that your source file is suitable for the output settings you intend to use and that the VPS has enough storage and capacity. Match the encoder configuration to the source and YouTube’s current encoder guidance; do not choose a resolution or bitrate solely because the server is located in India.
Set up YouTube ingest and run the stream
- Create or schedule a YouTube live stream. In YouTube Studio, create the live stream and locate its stream settings. Use the ingestion address and stream name assigned to that stream. YouTube’s API describes these as
cdn.ingestionInfo.rtmpsIngestionAddressandstreamName; follow the current Studio interface for your account. - Keep the stream key private. Treat it as a credential: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your live event. Do not publish it in a command screenshot, shared log, or public repository. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
- Install and configure an encoder on the VPS. Configure it to read the fireplace video, encode or pass through the media as appropriate, and send the feed to YouTube using RTMPS. Use the assigned endpoint and stream name/key, the correct application path, and port 443. YouTube documents the connection requirements in its RTMPS guide. The official references establish the ingest contract, not a tested FFmpeg command or system-service recipe; verify encoder syntax and options against the current documentation for the encoder you choose.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube Studio. Confirm YouTube receives the feed and that the preview is playing before making the stream public or starting the event. If ingest fails, check the RTMPS protocol, endpoint, application name, port 443, and stream name/key for mismatches.
- Keep the process supervised. Configure the VPS to restart the encoder after a process or server restart, and monitor the feed and server. A running VPS alone does not prove that YouTube is receiving a healthy stream.
Plan around archives and monetization
A 24/7 broadcast may not become a complete archive
YouTube says it can automatically archive live streams shorter than 12 hours. Streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all, and YouTube recommends keeping a local recording backup. If you need a complete copy, record it separately on storage you control. Ending and restarting broadcasts is not established as a way to avoid YouTube’s archive limitations. See YouTube’s archive guidance.

Continuous playback does not guarantee monetization
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams and require original, authentic content; repetitive or mass-produced material may be ineligible. Reused-content review can consider a channel as a whole, including its theme, most-viewed and newest videos, watch-time share, metadata, and About section. Do not treat a stock fireplace loop or minimally changed repeated video as assured YPP-eligible content. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
Troubleshoot common failures
- YouTube does not receive the feed: Recheck that the encoder uses RTMPS, the assigned ingestion endpoint and application name, port 443, and the correct stream name/key. A protocol, endpoint, port, or SSL mismatch can prevent connection.
- The stream starts and then stops: Check whether the encoder process exited, the VPS restarted, or the network connection dropped. Review the encoder and provider logs, then configure process supervision and recovery appropriate to your setup.
- YouTube interrupts the live stream or shows a warning: Check YouTube Studio for a copyright notice or other live-stream warning. Resolve rights issues, and where licensed third-party content is involved, ask the rights owner whether the channel must be allowlisted in Content ID.
- The VPS becomes expensive or constrained: Check outbound-transfer usage, overage or throttling terms, CPU use during encoding, and available storage. Reassess the plan against the actual stream workload rather than assuming the base VPS rate covers continuous delivery.
- You cannot find a complete YouTube recording: A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured. Use a separate local recording if a complete archive matters.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a YouTube stream made from uploaded video, StreamNeo is a cloud alternative: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Its cloud service loops uploaded video, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required; one free day is available per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
