How to Stream Pre-Recorded Classes on YouTube Live All Day in India

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To stream recorded classes on YouTube Live all day from India, create or schedule a live stream in YouTube Studio, connect an encoder—or a cloud service that plays uploaded videos—to the stream using YouTube’s stream URL and key, preview the feed, and start it. For a local setup, the computer and internet connection running the encoder must stay on and be monitored. For cloud playback, upload the recordings, add your YouTube stream key, and start the stream without keeping a home computer running.

Choose how to keep the class stream running

YouTube’s documented route for sending a prerecorded feed is encoder streaming. An encoder converts the video into a format YouTube can receive; YouTube supports software and standalone hardware encoder workflows. A local encoder gives you direct control, but it depends on the computer, power and network staying available. A cloud playout service runs the playback remotely, so your computer does not need to remain on.

  • Local encoder: Best if you want to manage playback and production yourself. You are responsible for the computer, connection, monitoring and recovery if something stops.
  • Cloud playback: Useful for a continuous prerecorded schedule when you do not want a computer running at home. Check how the service handles interruptions, YouTube session duration, replay archiving, content rights and costs before relying on it.

Prepare the channel and class recordings

Check live-stream access

YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Live streaming is for users aged 16 or older. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access before the planned start. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and encoder setup guidance.

Check every part of the recording

Make sure you have the necessary rights for the teacher’s recording and every included element: music, slides, illustrations, clips and other material. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the rights needed for worldwide use of the live content and to follow applicable laws. A class’s educational purpose does not by itself establish permission; requirements that apply to an operator in India depend on the specific circumstances. Read YouTube’s livestream terms.

  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live video with a placeholder and warn you to stop; continued use can lead to interruption or termination. Even a licence may not prevent this if the rights owner has not added your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and arrange any necessary allowlisting in advance.

Set up a local encoder

  1. Choose an encoder. Use a software encoder on a computer or a standalone hardware encoder. YouTube describes both categories, but does not specify a universal minimum computer configuration for prerecorded playback. Select a setup that can play your files and deliver the resolution, frame rate and other production elements you intend to send.
  2. Create or schedule the stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create a stream or schedule one. Scheduling can make an upcoming event discoverable and allow reminders, subject to YouTube’s settings. Follow the encoder stream setup steps.
  3. Copy the connection details. In the Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder’s server and stream-key fields. Treat the key like a password: it lets an encoder send video to your channel, so do not share or publish it.
  4. Set up the prerecorded playback. Select the recording or playlist in your encoder and configure the output to match the production you intend to send. Confirm that the class audio is present and that the video plays through as expected. YouTube’s cited setup guidance does not prescribe a universal bitrate, resolution, frame rate or encoder preset for every class stream.
  5. Preview before going live. Start the encoder’s preview or send its incoming feed to Live Control Room, then check video, audio and the event’s appearance on the channel and watch pages. YouTube recommends setting up ahead of time and testing a backup encoder where one is used. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
  6. Start the stream and monitor it. Once the preview is correct, start the live event in Live Control Room as needed and leave the encoder running. YouTube recommends reliable networking and continuous checks of audio and video quality. Its guidance recommends upload bandwidth with 20% headroom above the stream’s total bitrate; that margin is advice, not a guarantee against network, power, encoder or platform interruptions. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
  7. End deliberately and check the replay. To end the feed, stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. It does not establish that longer streams are prohibited, nor does it guarantee that a longer stream will be archived. If a replay matters, plan session length and retention, and check the archive status in Live Control Room rather than assuming it will be saved.

Plan for an all-day broadcast

“All day” needs an operating plan, not just a long video file. Decide whether you will run one extended session or schedule separate sessions, and make sure the playback source and encoder remain active for the intended period. For a local setup, account for power and connectivity at the actual location in India; an optional UPS or dedicated computer may help with local continuity, but neither is a YouTube requirement. Test the upload link at the chosen stream bitrate before relying on it.

  • What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
  • Bandwidth: Compare the encoder’s total outgoing bitrate with available upload capacity and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
  • Oversight: Arrange for someone to check the live video and audio during the broadcast. A running indicator alone does not establish that viewers are receiving usable sound and picture.
  • Recovery: Decide who will restart playback or reconnect the encoder if the computer, internet connection or YouTube feed fails. Test any backup encoder ahead of time if you plan to use one.
  • Session and archive: Choose a duration with replay needs in mind. YouTube’s cited automatic-archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours; verify longer-session behavior in Live Control Room.
  • Key security: Keep the stream key private. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube’s controls and update the encoder before broadcasting again.

Understand copyright and monetization limits

Live format does not make a class automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube applies its monetization policies to live streams and expects original, authentic content; repetitive or mass-produced content may be ineligible under its inauthentic-content policy. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

If a monetized channel enables live ads, pre-roll and display ads are enabled automatically, while mid-rolls can be automatic or manual. YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. Details are in YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.

Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom What to check Action
Live streaming is unavailable Channel verification, any live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and whether first-time activation is still processing. Meet YouTube’s stated eligibility requirements and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
YouTube receives no feed Whether the encoder is running and the stream URL and key match the Live Control Room event. Recheck the server and key fields; keep the key private and replace it if it may have been exposed.
Video or audio is missing or poor Preview, playback selection, audio routing, network stability and available upload bandwidth. Test playback and audio before going live; ensure upload capacity exceeds the total bitrate with the recommended headroom, and monitor the feed.
Feed drops during a long session Local power, computer, internet connection, encoder status and any platform interruption. Restore the failed component and reconnect or restart the encoder; use a tested backup plan. A cloud service may remove the home-computer dependency, but rights and YouTube-side interruptions still matter.
Live video is replaced or interrupted Possible third-party content match, including music or material embedded in the lesson. Review YouTube’s copyright notice, verify rights, and ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting where applicable.
No replay appears after an extended stream Whether the session exceeded the under-12-hour automatic-archive threshold stated in YouTube’s encoder guidance. Check Live Control Room’s archive status. Do not assume an extended stream will be saved; plan session length if the replay is important.
