NCIS: Origins has a confirmed season-three premiere on Tuesday, October 6, at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT. NCIS is listed for Tuesdays at 8 p.m., but CBS’s published schedule does not establish the date of its next new episode.
Why are there no new NCIS episodes tonight?
Tonight means Saturday, October 3, 2026. CBS’s announced fall schedule places NCIS and NCIS: Origins on Tuesdays, not Saturdays. That explains why neither is listed in its regular weekly slot tonight; the schedule information does not establish a special one-night preemption.

When will NCIS return for fresh episodes?
NCIS is scheduled for Tuesdays at 8 p.m. in CBS’s 2026–2027 fall lineup. The official schedule information cited here does not give the date of its next new episode, so October 6 should not be treated as a confirmed NCIS premiere date: that date is confirmed for Origins, not for both series.
The CBS NCIS listing includes season 23 episodes from March 2026, but those past listings do not confirm the start date for the next season. Check CBS’s fall schedule announcement and official show page for schedule updates.
