Godfather of Harlem season 4 premiered on MGM+ on April 13, 2025, and its episodes rolled out weekly. That date has passed: season 4 is a ten-episode season, not an upcoming release. The series is also set to conclude with a two-hour finale rather than a fifth season, though the report announcing that decision did not give the finale’s air date.
When did Godfather of Harlem season 4 come out?
MGM+ premiered season 4 on Sunday, April 13, 2025, with new episodes released weekly, according to TVLine’s January 23, 2025 report. Because the premiere is in the past, searches asking when season 4 will come out are referring to a season that has already aired.
Prime Video’s season 4 listing identifies ten episodes. Apple TV’s catalogue also identifies the season as a 2025 release.
What is season 4 about?
The season follows Bumpy Johnson as he faces New York Mafia families and the arrival of Frank Lucas. Its story also addresses the aftermath of Malcolm X’s assassination and Elise’s involvement with the Black Panthers. These plot details appear in MGM+’s synopsis and the season listing.

No fifth season is planned. TVLine reported on July 1, 2026, that MGM+ would end the series with a two-hour finale instead of ordering season 5. The report did not announce when the finale would premiere, so there is no date to give based on that update. It reproduced the official finale logline: “Bumpy Johnson faces the ultimate reckoning as the walls close in around his empire.”
