Netflix introduced My Netflix in July 2023 as a mobile shortcut hub for downloads, saved titles, reminders and other viewing activity. It is not a separate catalog or a new subscription feature. The app is now also receiving a broader redesign, so the tab’s position and surrounding controls can differ by device, region and rollout.
What is My Netflix?
My Netflix is a personalized management area for things you have already saved, started, downloaded or interacted with. Netflix introduced it on July 24, 2023, to help mobile viewers get back to relevant titles without searching through the broader catalog. The Home screen and other discovery areas remain the places to browse Netflix’s wider library. Netflix’s launch announcement said iOS availability began immediately, with Android rollout planned for early August 2023.

The hub organizes shortcuts; it does not create a custom folder system or a complete, permanent viewing-history archive. Netflix has not promised that every account will see every category.
What can appear in the tab?
Netflix’s launch description named several kinds of personal content. The rows shown depend on your activity, and names or availability can differ by app version and device.

- Watched trailers: Trailers you have viewed.
- Reminders: Titles you marked with Remind Me.
- Other personalized rows: Netflix may surface additional items based on how you use the service.
A profile with few saved titles, ratings, downloads or reminders may have fewer rows. Each profile’s view reflects its own activity, so two people using the same account need not see the same content.
Why did Netflix create it?
The idea was to reduce navigation friction on phones. If you have limited time, want to resume a show, or need to find something saved for later, a single personal-content destination can be quicker than browsing discovery screens. My Netflix makes that activity easier to reach; it is not a new recommendation engine or a promise that every shortcut will appear for every viewer.

How to find My Netflix in the current app
In the launch-era layout, viewers opened the Netflix app on an iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet and tapped My Netflix in the mobile navigation. From there, they could choose a row such as Downloads, My List, Continue Watching or Reminders. The current layout may differ as Netflix rolls out its redesigned app.
- Update Netflix from your device’s app store, then open the app and select the profile you normally use.
- Inspect the bottom navigation for My Netflix. If it is not there, check the top navigation and the app’s visible sections for Downloads, My List or notifications.
- Open the relevant row or shortcut. Reminders may appear under Reminders You’ve Set; their location can vary with the interface.
- If the expected controls are still missing, sign out and back in as a basic troubleshooting step. That does not force Netflix to enable a server-side rollout.

What changed in Netflix’s 2026 mobile redesign?
The 2026 redesign is a broader app update, separate from My Netflix’s 2023 launch. Netflix announced the redesign on April 30, 2026, and updated its rollout information on July 14. It brings a refreshed layout, a vertical Clips discovery feed and a notifications center accessed through a bell in the top navigation. From Clips, viewers can watch a title, add it to My List or share it. Netflix’s redesign announcement and its help page about the updated layout describe these changes.
Netflix initially launched the redesign in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines and South Africa. Its July 14 update added Brazil, France, Germany, Korea and Mexico, with broader global rollout expected over the following months. Availability is therefore not established everywhere at once. My Netflix remains part of the mobile experience, but its exact placement can vary while the redesign rolls out.

How downloads fit into My Netflix
My Netflix can surface downloads, but downloading is a device-storage and plan-dependent feature, not merely a row in the interface. Netflix’s separate Downloads for You feature automatically saves recommended titles on supported mobile devices. Netflix says it requires the latest app on supported iPhone, iPad and Android devices and is unavailable on ad-supported plans. Those restrictions apply to Downloads for You; they do not establish that every kind of download is unavailable on an ad-supported plan. See Netflix’s Downloads for You help page.
- Downloads are titles saved for offline viewing, manually or through an automatic feature.
- Downloads for You is the specific feature that automatically downloads recommendations.
- My Netflix is the navigation hub that can show downloads alongside other personal shortcuts.
Where reminders appear and how they work
When you mark a title Remind Me, it can appear in a Reminders You’ve Set row in My Netflix on mobile or TV. When the title becomes available, Netflix may send a notification or email; it may also appear in My List. The exact reminder and notification behavior can vary by title, device, account and region. A reminder does not guarantee that a title will remain on Netflix indefinitely after release. Details are in Netflix’s reminders help page.

What My Netflix does not guarantee
- A fixed set of rows: The hub is personalized, so activity and interface variation affect what appears.
- A complete viewing record: Netflix describes recently watched titles, but not a complete, permanent history archive in My Netflix.
- That every saved title remains available: A title’s presence in a personal section does not guarantee it will stay on the service.
- Custom library organization: My Netflix is a shortcut area, not a system of user-created folders or lists.
- A separate paid upgrade: Netflix’s launch description presents it as an app-interface feature, not an additional subscription tier.
Troubleshooting missing tabs, downloads or reminders
If My Netflix is missing
Update the app, check both bottom and top navigation, and allow for regional or account-level rollout differences. Netflix’s redesigned interface may not have reached every subscriber, and signing out and back in cannot force that change.
If downloads seem to have disappeared
The navigation location may have changed without the files being deleted. Check the Downloads area in the current app and confirm that you have selected the same profile used when saving the titles.
If reminders or rows are absent
Look for Reminders You’ve Set in My Netflix or check the notification bell, depending on your app layout. A row may not appear if there is no relevant activity, and Netflix does not guarantee that every reminder produces the same type of notification.
If another subscriber sees different content
Different profiles, viewing and rating activity, saved titles, downloads, regions and app versions can all change what appears. My Netflix is personalized rather than a shared, identical list for all subscribers.
