Tim Story directs Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer in the Prime Video release.
What is The Pickup about?
Russell and Travis are armored-truck drivers whose routine cash pickup turns into a carefully planned ambush. The pair must survive the robbery while dealing with their sharply different personalities and the criminal operation led by Zoe, the mastermind behind the attack.
The setup combines a contained heist with a buddy-comedy dynamic: Russell and Travis are not a polished action team, and their generational and personal differences become part of the danger as the job unravels.

Its strongest appeal is the pairing of Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson as an unlikely driving team, set against a robbery that escalates into a larger survival problem. Viewers looking for a compact heist premise, broad comic contrast and a Prime Video film of approximately 94–96 minutes will find the basic fit here. The content warnings make it less suitable for young children, particularly where violence, injury detail or strong language are concerns.
