What you need
- An active Apple TV subscription (many viewers still call it Apple TV+).
- An Apple Account associated with that subscription.
- The latest available Apple TV app or compatible device software.
- A supported device or web browser.
Owning an iPhone, Apple TV box or another Apple product does not provide access by itself. Friday Night Baseball is included with the paid subscription, not with the hardware.
How to watch Friday Night Baseball live
- Subscribe at Apple’s U.S. signup page, or use an eligible subscription purchased through a supported partner.
- Open the Apple TV app, or visit tv.apple.com/sports.
- Select Search.
- Search for Friday Night Baseball (searching for MLB may also find the channel).
- Open the Friday Night Baseball channel and select the scheduled game.
- Choose Watch when the live control appears.
Labels can vary slightly among televisions, phones, consoles and streaming devices. Apple documents this route in its live-sports support guide.
Where Friday Night Baseball is available
You do not need Apple hardware. Apple lists support for the following, although model, operating-system, app-version and regional compatibility can differ:

- Consoles: PlayStation and Xbox.
- Browser: any supported browser at tv.apple.com, with live sports at tv.apple.com/sports.
For Android, install or update the Apple TV app, sign in with the Apple Account that owns (or shares) the subscription, and use the same Friday Night Baseball search path. A Windows PC, Chromebook or other computer without a native app can use the browser site instead.
Price, trial and what the subscription includes
The current U.S. price is $12.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. The trial is not permanent free access: unless canceled before renewal, it changes to the applicable paid monthly plan. Promotional terms can change.
The plan includes Friday Night Baseball and Apple’s other programming. It does not automatically include:
- Every MLB game or a separate MLB.TV subscription.
- Third-party Apple TV channels.
- Movies or shows rented or purchased in the app.
- Other services merely displayed alongside Apple TV.
Eligible purchasers of a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac may receive three months free, subject to Apple’s eligibility, redemption and timing restrictions. Apple also says Apple TV can be part of Apple One; verify the current regional bundle offer rather than relying on an older price.

How many games are shown?
Friday Night Baseball is a selected weekly doubleheader: two games each Friday during the 25-week regular season, not every game played on Friday and not the entire MLB schedule. The 2026 package began March 27. Apple says the package is offered in 60 countries and regions. See the current August 2026 schedule announcement for date-sensitive matchups, including the August 21 and August 28 listings, or use the app’s schedule.
Finding the weekly schedule
- Open the Apple TV app or tv.apple.com/sports.
- Search for Apple TV Friday Night Baseball or open the sports channel.
- Scroll through upcoming events to see the next doubleheader and start times.
You can also follow favorite teams in the Apple TV app so upcoming games appear in your recommendations. Times and featured matchups are date-sensitive.
Replays and highlights
After a game ends, open the Friday Night Baseball channel and scroll to Past Games. Select Recap for highlights or Watch for the full replay when Apple provides it. Apple does not promise an unlimited replay window, so availability can change.
Blackouts and radio options
Apple and MLB describe the Friday Night Baseball package as available without local broadcast restrictions. That narrow assurance applies to these Apple-carried games; it is not a claim that every MLB game is blackout-free.

For the 2026 season, viewers in the U.S. and Canada can select home or away local radio feeds when available. In Canada, Apple’s August notice limits radio availability to Toronto Blue Jays home games. Radio options remain subject to the event and region.
What to do when the game is missing
- Check that the subscription is active and that you are signed in to the Apple Account used for billing (or the correct Family Sharing account).
- Update the Apple TV app and the device operating system.
- Close and reopen the app, then restart the device.
- Confirm that the scheduled start time has arrived; a live control may not appear far in advance.
- Try tv.apple.com/sports in a supported browser.
- Confirm that Friday Night Baseball is offered in your country or region and check Apple’s service-status information before buying another subscription.
If a paywall remains, verify the billing account before signing out. Subscriptions bought through Prime Video, Roku, Comcast Xfinity or DIRECTV may use a different login, billing record, cancellation route and promotional terms than direct Apple billing.
Choosing the right way to subscribe
Direct Apple TV subscription
This is the simplest official route if you want baseball plus Apple Originals and other Apple programming. It includes the seven-day new-subscriber trial and broad device support, but it is a recurring monthly charge even if you watch only one game and it does not provide the complete MLB schedule.
Apple One
Apple One can make sense when you already pay for several Apple services. It is usually a poor baseball-only choice because you may pay for services you do not use. Check the live bundle page for your region.

Partner billing
Apple identifies Prime Video, Roku premium subscriptions, Comcast Xfinity and DIRECTV as additional access routes. They can be convenient if you already manage subscriptions there, but do not assume Apple’s trial, price, account recovery or cancellation rules are identical.
Fans who want every MLB game
MLB.TV is a separate product intended for broader out-of-market coverage. Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV should not be presented as an MLB.TV replacement, and MLB.TV pricing and blackout terms should be checked directly with MLB.
Bars and other public venues
Apple identifies DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS as a commercial outlet for its live sports programming, including Friday Night Baseball. A residential subscription is not a substitute for a commercial sports package in a bar, restaurant, hotel or similar venue.

Apple’s Apple TV page says Family Sharing can cover up to six people, subject to Apple’s Family Sharing rules. Everyone should use the Apple Account linked to the subscription or family group.

To stop after one game or a trial, cancel through the platform that bills you—Apple or the partner provider—and check the renewal date. There is no single cancellation path for every billing arrangement.
International viewers
The $12.99 figure is U.S.-specific. Availability, pricing, language, device support and included sports vary by country or region. Check the Apple TV page for your location before subscribing; the 2026 package itself is announced for 60 countries and regions.
