Open Netflix in a web browser, then go to Account → Profiles → select the profile → Viewing activity. Choose Show More for older entries or Download all to save the available history as a CSV file. Netflix’s official instructions are here: Viewing activity.
Find your Netflix viewing history
- Sign in to Netflix in a web browser on a computer, phone or tablet.
- Open Account.
- Under Profiles, select the profile whose history you need.
- Choose Viewing activity.
- Review the movies and individual TV episodes listed for that profile. Select Show More when Netflix displays only part of the list.
The record is tied to the selected profile, not to the account as one combined household list. Netflix’s profile guidance explains that viewing activity, recommendations, playback settings and My List are maintained per profile: Netflix profile management.
Using the Netflix app or a TV
Continue Watching is usually the fastest place to resume an unfinished movie or show. It is not a complete historical record, however. For the full available list, Netflix’s documented route uses a web browser. App menus and labels can differ by country, device and app version, so do not assume every mobile or TV interface contains the same account control.
If a title is still in Continue Watching, select it there to resume. If it has disappeared from that row, use the browser path above to check Viewing activity. Netflix documents separate ways to remove items from Continue Watching on computers, TVs, iPhone and iPad, and current Android app versions: Remove titles from Continue Watching.

Download your Netflix watch history
At the bottom of the Viewing activity page, select Download all. Netflix provides the available list as a CSV-compatible file that you can open in spreadsheet software.
- Search a long history for a title or episode.
- Sort entries by date.
- Keep a personal reference copy.
- Review activity on a shared profile.
Netflix documents a full-list download, not a built-in export limited to a custom week or month. The download contains activity associated with the profile you selected.

Viewing activity, Continue Watching and My List

My List is not a substitute for watch history. Netflix says a profile’s My List can contain up to 2,000 TV shows and movies, with mobile filters such as TV Shows, Movies, Haven’t Started and Started: My List.
If a recently watched title is missing
- Check the profile. Switch to each plausible profile and repeat the Viewing activity path. A shared profile records activity without identifying which household member watched.
- Select Show More. The initial page may not display the entire available list.
- Check whether the title was hidden. Hiding a title removes it from the normal watched-title display.
- Check Continue Watching separately. A title can leave that shortcut without proving that its historical entry was deleted.
- Use a browser. Refresh the account page and sign in again if the app or TV interface does not show the controls.
- Consider profile deletion. Deleting a profile deletes that profile’s viewing history and game saves: profile management details.
- For an inactive account, request account information. Follow Netflix’s data-access route described below.
Do not confuse viewing history with recent device activity. Netflix’s device-activity information covers recent sign-ins and devices; its 90-day reference does not establish a 90-day limit for viewing history: account information.

Hide a title from Netflix viewing activity
- In a browser, open Netflix and go to Account.
- Under Profiles, select the relevant profile.
- Open Viewing activity.
- Select the hide icon beside the movie or episode.
- If Netflix offers it, choose the option to hide the entire series.
- To hide the available list, select Hide all at the bottom and confirm.
Netflix describes this as hiding titles from viewing history, not deleting all account data. A hidden title is removed from the normal watched-title display and Continue Watching, and it is not used for recommendations unless watched again. Netflix says the change can take up to 24 hours to appear across devices. The detailed help page is available at Hide titles from viewing history.

Recover history from an inactive Netflix account
If the membership is no longer active, the normal Viewing activity page may not be available. Netflix directs inactive-account users to request or download a copy of their information; its account-information documentation identifies Content Interaction History as including viewing activity.
A verified personal-information request may take up to 30 days to produce, according to Netflix: request a copy of your information. This is a fallback for an inactive account, not the usual way to check an active profile.

Shared accounts and profiles
Viewing activity shows what was watched on a profile, but it does not prove which person used that profile. Netflix supports up to five profiles on an account, although features can differ for Kids profiles and extra-member arrangements. Use separate profiles going forward to keep recommendations and histories distinct. Profile switching guidance is available at Netflix profile switching.
Some profile-management controls are restricted for Kids profiles, and Netflix may require a browser for certain changes: Kids profile controls.
The Bottom Line
For the authoritative record, use Netflix → Account → Profiles → profile → Viewing activity in a browser. Use Show More for older entries, Download all for a searchable CSV, and the hide control when you want a title removed from normal history displays.
