In the United States, start with the official Taskmaster YouTube channel for free full episodes. Choose Taskmaster SuperMax+ when you want ad-free viewing and its catalog is available in your country. In the UK, Channel 4 is the main home of the original series. Everywhere else, availability depends on local rights, so check the official services for your location before paying.
This guide covers the original UK show hosted by Greg Davies and Alex Horne, specials such as New Year Treat and Champion of Champions, and international editions including Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The separate U.S. adaptation is not the same series.

How to watch Taskmaster in the United States
Free: the official YouTube channel
Open the verified Taskmaster YouTube channel and search within the channel for the exact series and episode. It currently carries many complete episodes, including selected UK, Australian and New Zealand episodes. Standard YouTube viewing is free and normally ad-supported.

#1 Best Overall
- S.W.A.T. - The Complete Series
- Brand New: An item that has never been opened or removed from the manufacturer’s sealing (if applicable). Item is in original shrink wrap (if applicable). See the seller's listing for full details.
- Format DVD
- Region Code 1 (US, Canada)
- Stars: Steve Forrest, Robert Urich, Rod Perry
The channel is not a guaranteed worldwide archive. Playlists and search results can differ by location; a video may be removed, moved, or blocked when a licence changes. The safest wording is that the official channel has full episodes—not that every season or special is available in the US.
Paid and ad-free: Taskmaster SuperMax+
Taskmaster SuperMax+ advertises a seven-day free trial followed by $5.99 per month (price checked August 18, 2026). It is on-demand, ad-free and does not require a television provider. The homepage currently promotes UK seasons 1–20 and international versions; the series page shows the live catalog.
Do not treat the season count as a permanent archive. At the time checked, the YouTube channel was promoting recent UK Series 21 episodes while SuperMax+ promotional copy still emphasized seasons 1–20. Confirm the particular series before starting a subscription. SuperMax+ lists the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Nordic territories as unavailable for rights reasons.
Which US option is better?
- Use YouTube if cost matters most, you accept adverts, or you are sampling the show.
- Use SuperMax+ if your country is supported and you want a dedicated, ad-free catalog with several editions.
- Do not rely on old guides that list Pluto TV, The CW, Amazon, iTunes or Google Play as current US homes without checking a current title listing.
How to watch in the UK and Ireland
- Go to Channel4.com.
- Search for Taskmaster and sign in or create a Channel 4 account if prompted.
- Choose the series and episode, then start playback.
Channel 4’s April 2, 2026 announcement says the UK original remains free to stream and that New Zealand, Australian and Canadian versions are also being added for UK viewers through Channel 4 and its UK YouTube presence: Channel 4 announcement. The official YouTube channel is a useful alternative where it offers a complete episode. SuperMax+ is not the normal choice in these territories because its rights notice excludes the UK and Ireland.
How to watch from another country
- Open the official YouTube channel while signed in to your own account.
- Search for the exact edition, series and episode. Check that the video actually plays, not just that its thumbnail appears.
- If it is blocked or missing, visit SuperMax+ and confirm that your country is accepted and the desired title is listed.
- If neither service works, identify the local broadcaster or streaming service holding rights in your country.
- Inspect the player’s subtitle and audio menus; subtitles are not guaranteed for every edition.
Rights are title-specific. The newest UK episode may appear on Channel 4, YouTube and SuperMax+ at different times, while an older international series may be licensed to a completely different service.
International editions
Taskmaster Australia and Taskmaster New Zealand
The official YouTube channel currently exposes full-episode sections for both editions. Channel 4’s 2026 UK announcement also names Australia and New Zealand among the versions being made available to UK viewers. Outside the UK, check the local rights-holder first; SuperMax+ excludes Australia and New Zealand.
Taskmaster Canada and European adaptations
Channel 4 specifically names the Canadian version in its UK expansion. Nordic and other European adaptations are more fragmented and may be carried by regional broadcasters or appear on YouTube only in selected territories. Search by the edition’s full name rather than assuming that a UK-series listing includes it.
The U.S. adaptation
A search for “Taskmaster” can return the short-lived U.S. adaptation, clips or fan uploads. Check the host, edition and episode title before choosing a service; availability for that adaptation is separate from the UK original.

What SuperMax+ supports
The service lists support for Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Xbox One, selected Samsung smart-TV model years, iPhone, iPad, Android and Fire OS devices, plus modern desktop browsers. Compatibility depends on the device model and current app version, so verify the service’s information at the official site.
SuperMax+ is a poor fit if you are in an excluded territory, need only a few episodes already free on YouTube, or expect every newly released series to appear immediately. Its value is greatest for supported-country viewers who want ad-free access to the catalog it currently lists.
Watching on a TV, phone, tablet or computer
- Smart TV or streaming device: use the native YouTube app, or the SuperMax+ app where supported.
- Phone or tablet: use the official YouTube or SuperMax+ app; you can cast YouTube to a compatible television.
- Computer: use a modern browser on YouTube, Channel 4 or SuperMax+.
- No TV app: cast from a phone or connect a laptop to the television with an HDMI cable.
Common problems and fixes
The episode appears in search but will not play
That usually indicates a geographic restriction, an expired rights window, a moved video, an age/account restriction or an app-cache issue. Open the video from the official channel, search the exact title within that channel, try both the browser and official app, then check SuperMax+.
SuperMax+ will not accept a subscription
Check the country shown during sign-up, your app-store region and whether the payment method matches the subscription territory. A site visit or app-store listing does not prove that the program is licensed where you live.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYou want fewer adverts
YouTube Premium can remove advertising across YouTube, but it does not unlock videos blocked in your country and is not a substitute for SuperMax+. Standard YouTube remains free with normal advertising.
You are travelling
The catalog can change with your current location, account region, licensing and sometimes payment territory. A service that works at home may show different episodes abroad.
Can a VPN help?
A VPN may change the apparent location of your connection, but it does not guarantee playback. Platforms can detect VPN traffic, require a local payment method, block the account or apply their own terms. Using one to bypass geographic licensing controls may breach a service’s terms, and it does not turn an unlicensed source into a legal one. Check official local services first.
Keep the official apps separate
The companion features described on Taskmaster.tv include games and interactive material. That site is part of the official ecosystem, but it is not a replacement for the SuperMax+ streaming subscription.
