All of these Black Friday 2023 promotions have expired. They were U.S. offers available in November and December 2023, and many automatically renewed at a higher regular price. Hulu delivered the lowest year-long cost, Peacock offered a simple full-year commitment, Max had the steepest premium-catalog discount, and Fubo and Sling addressed live-TV needs rather than ordinary on-demand viewing.
The ranking below compares promotional totals, advertising, eligibility, content fit and renewal risk. Prices were contemporary promotional prices before applicable taxes; “regular price” means the price reported at the time, not a current 2026 price.

The seven deals
1. Peacock Premium: $19.99 for a year
Peacock advertised either $19.99 for 12 months with code YEARLONG, or $1.99 per month for 12 months with code BIGDEAL. Contemporary coverage compared that with roughly $60 for the annual plan, implying about $40 in savings. The promotion ended November 27, 2023.

Despite its name, Premium was ad-supported. NBC programming, Peacock originals, movies and weekly MLB games made it a strong full-year choice. After the offer, billing reportedly returned to about $60 annually or $6 monthly unless canceled. Eligibility depended on the code and plan terms; check the official destination at Peacock for current, non-promotional information.
2. Max with Ads: $2.99 per month for six months
The ad-supported Max tier cost $2.99 monthly for six months, or $17.94 total, versus the reported $10 monthly rate—about 70% off and roughly $42 saved over the promotional term. The offer ended November 27, 2023 and reportedly accepted new and returning customers.
It suited viewers seeking HBO and Warner Bros. films at a premium-catalog price. Ads remained part of the discounted tier, and billing reverted to the regular rate after six months unless canceled. See Max for the service rather than treating that expired price as current.

3. Hulu with Ads: $0.99 per month for 12 months
At $0.99 monthly, Hulu cost $11.88 before tax for the full year. Contemporary coverage compared this with $7.99 monthly (about $80 annually), an approximate saving of $84. The offer ended November 28, 2023 and was aimed at new subscribers plus former members who had canceled at least one month earlier.

4. Paramount+: from $1.99 per month for three months
New subscribers could reportedly get Paramount+ Essential for about $1.99 monthly for three months ($5.97 total), compared with roughly $5.99–$6 monthly. The With Showtime tier was about $3.99–$4 monthly for three months, versus approximately $11.99–$12. The promotion ended December 3, 2023.

Essential included ads; With Showtime was described as ad-free except for live CBS news. Paramount, CBS, Showtime and franchise programming were the attraction, but the short term made post-promotion renewal especially easy to overlook. Details are available at Paramount+.
5. Fubo Pro: $20 off for the first two months
Eligible monthly English-language plans received $20 off each of the first two months. That put Pro at $55 monthly instead of $75, or $110 for two months. Premier was reported at $75 instead of $95 and included Showtime. The offer was reported as running through December 2023, without a confirmed day in the available coverage.
Fubo is a live-channel and sports service, not a direct price competitor to Hulu or Max. Its value depends on channel availability, local stations, sports rights, DVR and regional restrictions. The discount ended when the two-month period ended and the regular rate applied unless canceled. See Fubo for current plan details.

6. Sling TV Orange or Blue: half off the first month
Sling Orange or Sling Blue was reported at $20 for the first month versus approximately $40, a $20 initial saving. The offer also included an Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite, described with a $30 list price, although that device was frequently sold for less. The source did not provide a clear expiration date.
Orange and Blue have different channel lineups, so compare the channels, local availability and sports you actually need. The discount covered only month one; recurring cost afterward was the important figure. Hardware value should not be counted as a guaranteed $30 saving. Check Sling TV for service information.
7. Philo: $12.50 for the first month
New subscribers could reportedly receive 50% off the first month, reducing the $25 price to $12.50. The promotion ended November 28, 2023 and then reverted to the regular monthly rate.

Philo focused on entertainment and lifestyle channels, making it a budget option for households that did not need major sports, local broadcast networks or extensive news. It was not a full replacement for a sports-heavy live-TV package. Current information is at Philo.

Disney+ and Hulu bundle: $2.99 per month for a year
A competing 2023 roundup reported an ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle at $2.99 monthly for 12 months, compared with an approximately $15.98 regular combined price. That was potentially the better family choice for Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars viewers, even though it was not part of the original seven. The historical offer should not be confused with later bundle pages such as Hulu’s current bundle page.
Prime Video Channels add-ons
Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscribers reportedly could discount channels through December 3, 2023: Max about $2.99, Paramount+ $3, Starz $2.50, AMC+ $2.25, BritBox and PBS Masterpiece $2.25, MGM+ and Hallmark Movies Now $1.50, Acorn TV $1.75, and PBS Kids $1.25, each for two months. These were separate add-on subscriptions in the Prime storefront, not necessarily identical to direct subscriptions. App features, downloads, profiles and cancellation location could differ. See the Prime Video storefront for the platform, not the expired prices.
Quick Recap

- Best full-year single service: Peacock, at $19.99 for the year.
- Best premium catalog: Max, at $17.94 over six months.
- Best family bundle: The reported Disney+ and Hulu offer, if your household used both libraries.
- Best sports and live TV: Fubo, because its higher price paid for live channels and sports rather than an on-demand catalog.
- Best customizable live TV: Sling, after checking Orange versus Blue’s lineup.
- Best low-cost entertainment channels: Philo, for viewers who did not need sports or local broadcast stations.
Eligibility, advertising and renewal checks
- Hulu’s offer targeted new subscribers and former members inactive for at least one month; other services commonly limited eligibility to new or first-month signups.
- Peacock Premium, Max’s $2.99 tier, Hulu with Ads and Paramount+ Essential all included advertising. “Premium” did not mean ad-free on Peacock.
- Record the promotion’s end date at signup and set a calendar reminder. Confirm whether cancellation preserves access through the paid period.
- Check the first post-promotion price, not only the headline rate. A monthly deal can become an annual charge or a much higher recurring bill.
- For Prime Video Channels, verify where cancellation occurs and whether the channel’s standalone app, downloads or simultaneous streams are included.
- Prices were U.S. promotional figures before applicable taxes and could vary by account, billing method or location.
