PB_WEB_DR-6007-001_X usually appears when Disney+ Hotstar cannot start a video in a desktop browser. Disney’s public Help Center does not define this exact code or confirm one cause. The fastest reported workaround is to change the Disney+ site’s autoplay or media permission, especially in Firefox, then reload the title. If that fails, work through the browser, site-data, extension, device, and network checks below.
Try the autoplay permission first
This is a reported Firefox workaround, not an official Disney+ diagnosis. Browser labels vary by version and operating system.
- Open Disney+ Hotstar and the title that failed.
- Select the site-permissions, lock, or media-control icon beside the address.
- Find Autoplay or a similar media setting. If it says Block Audio and Video, choose a less restrictive option such as Block Audio or Allow Audio and Video.
- Reload the page and start the video again.
The exact-code Firefox report describing this change is at web3zero.dk. Limit any change to the Disney+ site rather than enabling autoplay globally.
Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers
Open the Disney+ site-controls icon, enter site permissions, and look for Sound, Autoplay, or another media-playback permission if your version provides one. Permit playback for the site, reload, and test again. Do not assume Firefox’s menu or wording exists in every browser.

Follow the remaining troubleshooting ladder
1. Refresh, then test a private window
Close the failed video, reopen the page, and try again. Next, use a private or incognito window. Extensions and old site data are commonly excluded there, making this a quick diagnostic rather than a permanent fix.
2. Use a current supported browser
Disney lists the latest Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera on Windows 10 or later; the latest Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari on macOS 11 or later; and the latest Chrome on ChromeOS. Update the browser and operating system, then test another supported browser. See Disney’s browser requirements.
3. Check JavaScript and cookies
Disney’s streaming guidance says computer browsers should have JavaScript and cookies enabled. Blocking them can interfere with session validation, playback authorization, video-player startup, or region checks. Allow them for the Disney+ domain first instead of weakening privacy settings for every site. See Disney’s streaming-issues guidance.

4. Remove Disney+ site data
- Close the Disney+ tab.
- Open browser settings and search for site data, cookies, or cached images and files.
- Delete data for Disney+ or Hotstar specifically when possible.
- Reopen the browser, sign in, and test playback.
Disney says clearing browser cache can improve stability and warns that you will need to sign in again. If site-specific deletion is unavailable, clear the relevant time range rather than all browsing data. Use Disney’s cache instructions.
5. Temporarily test without interfering extensions
Disney identifies content filters, antivirus browser components, proxy accelerators, pop-up blockers, and ad blockers as possible sources of blank screens or playback trouble. Disable them briefly, or use a private window, and retry. If playback returns, re-enable extensions one at a time and allow Disney+ in the responsible tool or use a separate browser profile. This is a diagnostic test, not a requirement to leave security software disabled. See Disney’s playback guidance.
6. Restart the computer and network equipment
- Close the browser completely.
- Restart the computer.
- Power off the modem and router, wait briefly, then restart the modem, router, and computer in that order.
- Open Disney+ and test the same title.
Restarting refreshes local connections and stale sessions; it cannot correct an unsupported browser or a Disney-side outage. Disney’s general sequence is described at Disney troubleshooting.

7. Test another network or device
Try a phone hotspot or another Wi-Fi connection, and if possible test another computer. A VPN or proxy may also be disconnected temporarily as a diagnostic step, but the available evidence does not establish it as the cause of this code.

Important limitations and edge cases
It is not confirmed to be an autoplay, DRM, or outage code
The code is documented in user troubleshooting reports as a browser playback failure, but Disney has not publicly assigned it a meaning. Protected-media or DRM initialization problems are technically possible, yet unproven here. Do not disable protected-content playback or assume an outage from one device’s error.

Safari and privacy settings
Safari’s website-data and privacy controls use different labels from Firefox and Chromium browsers. Use its current website settings, permit required cookies and scripts for Disney+, and test a private window before changing global privacy protections.
If clearing data makes the problem worse
Sign in again, restore the Disney+ cookie and JavaScript permissions, and test a clean browser profile. Next time, remove only Disney+ site data rather than cookies for every website.

The Bottom Line
Start with the Disney+ site’s autoplay or media permission, particularly in Firefox, then test a private window and another updated supported browser. Continue with site-specific data removal, JavaScript and cookie checks, extension isolation, restarts, and an alternate network before escalating with the exact code and environment details.
