Status: Purdue vs. UConn was played on April 8, 2024. It is not a live event today. The championship aired in the United States on TBS and was distributed through NCAA March Madness Live, with TBS/TNT/truTV coverage also offered through Max’s B/R Sports Add-On under the 2024 tournament plan.
Where Purdue vs. UConn aired
The No. 1-seed Purdue Boilermakers played the No. 1-seed UConn Huskies in the 2024 NCAA Division I men’s basketball national championship game on Monday, April 8, 2024. Tipoff was scheduled for 9:20 p.m. Eastern at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The television network was TBS.
CBS Sports’ 2024 schedule lists the date, time, venue and TBS broadcast. The NCAA’s tournament distribution announcement identified NCAA March Madness Live and Max’s B/R Sports Add-On as streaming routes for games carried on TBS, TNT and truTV.

NCAA March Madness Live was the official tournament destination, but access could require authentication with a participating television provider or another qualifying entitlement. Use the NCAA’s ways-to-watch page for the platform’s current instructions rather than assuming an archived game is universally unlocked.

Some live-TV services may have offered a trial around the 2024 championship. Trials are promotional offers, not permanently free access: eligibility, duration, billing date and cancellation rules vary. Max was also a paid service. A contemporaneous April 2024 report described an approximately $10-per-month Max offer with the relevant sports add-on included under that promotion; that historical price is not a current 2026 quote. How the official stream worked
- Open the official NCAA March Madness Live website or supported app.
- Find the championship-game listing for Purdue versus UConn.
- Select the game and follow the sign-in prompt.
- Authenticate with a participating TV provider, or use an applicable streaming entitlement.
- Confirm that your browser, mobile device or smart-TV app is supported and that your account package includes TBS.
Those steps describe the 2024 live-event path. In 2026, app labels, rights and archive availability may differ, and the listing may no longer provide a live feed. A current page should be treated as the authority for whether a replay is actually licensed.

Finding a replay or official highlights now
Because the game is over, look for an explicitly labeled replay, condensed game or highlights package on NCAA or rights-holder platforms. Do not assume that an old live-stream link still works or that a subscription automatically includes the complete 2024 broadcast. Device, location and account limitations
- The cited viewing information is U.S.-focused. Rights and availability can differ in other countries.
- A TV-provider login generally works only when the subscription package carries TBS; having access to CBS or ESPN alone is not enough.
- Supported browsers, mobile apps and smart-TV apps can change. Test the login and update the app before an event rather than waiting for tipoff.
- Video quality depends on broadband speed, device capability and network congestion. Simultaneous-stream limits may apply to a service account.
- VPNs and location masking can interfere with regional checks and account verification; they are not a dependable access workaround.
- Free-trial offers may be limited to new or returning customers and can convert automatically to a paid plan.
Troubleshooting an authenticated stream
The login is rejected
Confirm that you selected the correct provider and that the account’s channel package includes TBS. Sign out, close the app or browser, then sign in again. If the provider recently changed its password or package, update those details first.
The game or replay does not appear
Check the official NCAA page and the platform’s current library. A 2024 entitlement does not guarantee that the full game remains archived, and a current tournament page may show only present-season content.

The video will not play
Update the app, try a supported browser or device, restart the network connection and disable VPN or location-masking software. If a platform app is unavailable on your device, use the provider’s supported web or mobile option instead.
A trial is about to renew
Review the account’s billing screen for the exact renewal date and price. Cancel through the company that billed you, not merely by deleting the app, and save the cancellation confirmation.

What happened in the championship?
UConn defeated Purdue 75–60 to win the program’s sixth men’s national championship. Purdue was seeking its first men’s title. The matchup featured Purdue star Zach Edey and UConn center Donovan Clingan. The final score is reported in the official video coverage linked above.
Avoid misleading “free stream” pages
Search results may promise a free Purdue–UConn stream through pirate sites, social-media restreams, torrents or “Reddit stream” aggregators. These pages commonly use fake play buttons, phishing forms, intrusive pop-ups, malware downloads and unstable feeds that can disappear without warning. They also do not establish legitimate rights to the broadcast.
Use NCAA March Madness Live, an authenticated provider or a participating live-TV service instead. An antenna would not have solved this particular broadcast question because the championship was exclusive to TBS rather than an over-the-air local network.
Do not confuse this game with CBS-televised tournament games
The NCAA tournament uses several networks. Paramount+ may be relevant for some CBS-televised games, but it should not automatically be presented as the destination for this championship: Purdue–UConn aired on TBS. Always verify the network and the channel lineup for the specific game.
