Yes. In the U.S., several legitimate smart-TV services let you start watching without creating a streaming-service account, entering a credit card, or beginning a trial. The clearest options as of August 18, 2026 are Samsung TV Plus, LG Channels, Xumo Play, Sling Freestream, Google TV’s built-in free channels, and selected free programming on The Roku Channel.
Most are free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) services. Availability depends on your TV brand, model, operating system, country and internet connection. A device account—for example, a Roku, Google, Samsung, Amazon or LG account—can still be required to set up the television even when the service itself does not require a login.

The best genuinely no-sign-up options
Samsung TV Plus
Samsung TV Plus is the easiest starting point for a supported Samsung television. Samsung says basic viewing does not require a Samsung account. An account adds conveniences such as continue-watching, favorites, reminders and watchlists, but those features are optional.

- Press Home.
- Open TV Plus from the home screen or channel interface.
- Choose a channel or program and watch without registering.
The service is primarily live, ad-supported television. Channels and device support can change, so check Samsung’s current availability information at Samsung TV Plus.

LG Channels
LG says LG Channels requires no registration or login and combines live channels with selected on-demand programs. LG’s U.S. support documentation identifies compatible Smart TVs and Smart Monitors manufactured in 2016 or later, while warning that availability varies by model, operating system, country and provider. LG currently advertises more than 400 free channels, but that number and the lineup are not permanent.
- Connect the TV to Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Press Home or Input/Source.
- Select LG Channels.
- Accept required user agreements if prompted, then choose a program.
If the service is missing, verify the TV’s location, install firmware updates and disable any VPN. On supported newer models, LG lists LG Channels → MY → Settings → Disable LG Channels as the off switch. See LG’s service page and LG’s support instructions.
Xumo Play
Xumo states that Xumo Play needs no sign-in, account or credit card. It is strongest when you want a traditional guide of scheduled live channels rather than a particular movie on demand. Xumo describes the service as having more than 300 channels, but channel counts and distribution change.

- Open Xumo Play.
- Browse the guide or select a channel.
- Start watching without creating an account.
Xumo’s hardware may also display other free apps, but that does not make every app in the Xumo interface account-free. Check the Xumo support page for current platform details.
Sling Freestream
Sling Freestream is a permanent free, ad-supported tier—not a trial of paid Sling TV. Sling’s Freestream page advertises viewing without a login. It includes live channels and some on-demand programming, while the paid Sling package remains separate.
- Open the Sling app or Freestream destination on a supported TV or streaming device.
- Select the Freestream or free-content area.
- Choose a channel or title.
- If the device offers guest access, skip account creation.
Some app-installation paths may still ask for an account, and features such as rewards can require one. Distinguish the service’s advertised no-login access from every device workflow. See Sling Freestream.

Google TV’s built-in free channels
Compatible Google TV and Android TV devices can place free live channels in the Live tab without installing an app, signing up or subscribing. Google lists sources including Haystack News, Plex, Pluto TV and Tubi, but those individual services can impose different account rules.
- Open the Live tab.
- Browse the built-in free channels.
- Select a channel to begin playback.
- If a channel hands off to a third-party app, check that app’s own requirements.
This is a platform feature rather than one universal app. Google also says advertising may be personalized using the device advertising ID or Google Account information. Details are in Google’s Android TV help.
The Roku Channel
Roku says its free content, including Roku Originals, can be watched without sign-ups or logins. The Roku Channel is built into Roku TVs and players and is also available on selected other devices. Account-free access can differ by title, device and feature.

- Choose a title or live channel marked Free, Watch Free or Included.
- Continue as a guest if account creation appears.
Premium rentals, subscriptions and add-on channels share the same interface, so check the label before pressing play. Roku account features such as cross-device continuation and personalization may require registration. See Roku Originals and Roku’s U.S. service overview.
Choose by television brand
- Samsung TV: Start with Samsung TV Plus.
- LG TV: Start with LG Channels.
- Roku TV or player: Try the free section of The Roku Channel.
- Google TV or Android TV: Open the Live tab before downloading anything.
- Other brands: Search the official app store for Xumo Play and Sling Freestream, then verify compatibility.
Free services that are not guaranteed no-sign-up choices
Tubi
Tubi is legal, free and does not require payment or a credit card. However, Tubi’s official setup instructions tell users to “Register or Sign up.” Treat it as a free near-miss unless guest playback is confirmed on your exact TV platform. Pluto TV is a major free service, but a current universal no-account policy was not established for every television platform. Plex combines free ad-supported programming with personal-media and device-linking features, so guest access should be checked in the current TV app before calling it sign-up-free.

Amazon’s free catalog
Free programming surfaced through Prime Video still sits inside the Amazon ecosystem. Do not describe a free title as account-free merely because no payment is due.
What you can realistically watch
- Scheduled live channels covering news, weather, lifestyle, reality, crime, children’s programming and niche interests.
- Older films and television series.
- Selected originals, replays and promotional programs.
- Some sports highlights and niche sports, but not guaranteed major-league live rights.
These services do not guarantee every current broadcast episode, local station in every market, premium cable network, newly released film or permanently available title. Viewers seeking local network programming and some live sports should also consider an antenna; it needs no streaming account or monthly fee but depends on reception.
Set up any service without accidentally subscribing
- Connect the TV by Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Set the television’s country and region correctly.
- Install pending system updates.
- Open the built-in live hub or the official app store.
- Search the exact service name and verify the publisher.
- Choose Watch Free, Guest or Continue Without Account when offered.
- Avoid Start Trial, Subscribe and Upgrade buttons.
- Confirm that the title is labeled free before playback.
When an app is missing or asks for registration
- Check the TV model, operating-system version and firmware.
- Confirm the location setting and whether the service operates in your country.
- Restart the TV and router, then search the official store again.
- Remember that downloading an app may require a device account even when playback does not require a service account.
- You may have selected a premium title, opened a feature such as watchlists or resume playback, or encountered a TV app with stricter rules than the web version.
- If guest playback is unavailable, treat the service as a near-miss rather than entering details solely to force access.
Do not sideload dubious “free movie” APKs or unofficial IPTV packages. Use first-party apps and official stores; promises of free premium films or sports can conceal piracy, malware, aggressive advertising or payment scams.

Free does not mean private or ad-free
Commercial breaks are the normal price of these services, and ad loads can change. Account-free viewing also does not mean data-free viewing: smart TVs and platforms may process device information, viewing activity, advertising identifiers, approximate location and network data. Google specifically documents personalized advertising for its free-channel experience.
The simplest rule is to begin with the built-in service on your television, add Xumo Play or Sling Freestream for more live programming, and use clearly labeled free titles in The Roku Channel. Keep Tubi, Pluto TV and Plex in the “free, but verify the account requirement” category rather than assuming that no payment means no sign-up.
