Short answer: YouTube TV’s main plan costs $82.99 a month plus tax (price checked August 2026) and includes more than 100 live channels, unlimited DVR, six household accounts and three simultaneous streams. But there is no single nationwide channel list: local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and other affiliates depend on your ZIP code, while Google now offers sports-first, entertainment, family, news and Spanish-language options in addition to the main plan.
Use the tables below as a planning guide, then enter your home ZIP code and open Settings → Membership before paying. Google can change channel rights, plan availability and add-on pricing.
Quick comparison of YouTube TV plans
| Plan or family | Designed for | What to verify | Price status |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube TV (main plan) | The broadest general-purpose lineup | National channels and your local affiliates | $82.99/month plus tax in Google’s current documentation |
| Sports | Sports-first households | Sports networks and local stations in your market | Check Membership; no universal price published in the cited documentation |
| Sports + News | Sports viewers who also need news | Included news networks and local coverage | Account-specific |
| Sports + Entertainment | Sports plus general entertainment | Entertainment-network list and exclusions | Account-specific |
| Sports + Family | Sports plus children’s and family viewing | Family-network list | Account-specific |
| Other combinations | Narrower mixes of news, entertainment and family channels | Availability for new versus existing subscribers | Account-specific |
| Spanish Plan | Spanish-language-first households | More than 28 Spanish-language networks | $24.99/month plus tax |
Google’s current plan menu also lists Sports + News + Entertainment, Sports + News + Family, Sports + Entertainment + Family, News + Entertainment, News + Family, News + Entertainment + Family, Entertainment and Entertainment + Family. You cannot construct a completely custom package by selecting any individual channels you want. Existing and new subscribers may see different choices. See Google’s current plan documentation.

Google describes the principal plan as carrying more than 100 channels, including live broadcast, cable and sports networks. It also includes:
#1 Best Overall
- HD streaming made simple: With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- Compact without compromises: The sleek design of Roku Streaming Stick won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
- Unlimited DVR storage (recording rights and retention can vary by program).
- Up to six household accounts, subject to Google family-group and home-location rules.
- Three simultaneous streams under the standard service.
- Multiview for supported events and programs.
- Apps for compatible smart TVs, streaming devices, phones, tablets and computers.
The “more than 100” figure is not a permanent contract. Networks can be added, removed, renamed or temporarily affected by carriage disputes. Google’s general service description is available at YouTube TV Help.
YouTube TV channels by category
The exact list shown at checkout is the authoritative one. The categories below explain what the main plan is intended to cover without pretending every market receives identical stations.
Local broadcast channels
Depending on your market, YouTube TV may carry local affiliates of:
- ABC
- CBS
- FOX
- NBC
- The CW and other local stations where available
These are affiliate and rights questions, not simply national-network questions. A ZIP code outside a station’s coverage area will not receive that station, and a traveler may see a different local lineup based on current location. Confirm your home ZIP code during signup and check the local rows before checkout. Google explains location and ZIP-code verification at this help page.
News
The main and relevant combination plans group national cable-news and general-news programming with local news where carried. News-only or News + Entertainment/Family configurations may omit the sports and broader entertainment channels found in the main plan. Because Google does not expose every current network name in searchable help text, use the live Membership display for a definitive list.
Sports
The main lineup is built to cover national sports networks and local broadcasts, but it does not include every league package. Local and national NFL games, college events and other rights are distributed among different networks and products. Regional sports and event availability can vary by market and current rights agreements.
Entertainment, lifestyle and reality
The general lineup includes a wide range of scripted entertainment, reality, lifestyle, food, home and popular-culture networks. Entertainment-focused combinations preserve some of those categories while narrowing news or sports. Check the plan card for the channels that matter to your household rather than relying on an old alphabetical list.

- Ultra-speedy streaming: Roku Ultra is 30% faster than any other Roku player, delivering a lightning-fast interface and apps that launch in a snap.
- Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
- The ultimate Roku remote: The rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro offers backlit buttons, hands-free voice controls, and a lost remote finder.
- No more fumbling in the dark: See what you’re pressing with backlit buttons.
- Say goodbye to batteries: Keep your remote powered for months on a single charge.
Kids and family
Family-focused combinations are aimed at children’s and family viewing. A family variant can make sense when those channels are essential but the complete main-plan lineup is unnecessary; verify whether your preferred networks are present before switching.
Documentary, science and factual programming
YouTube TV’s broader plans generally include factual, science, history, nature and documentary-oriented networks alongside entertainment. The selection differs in focused combinations, so documentary viewers should compare the displayed channel grid rather than assume a family or entertainment plan contains the same factual channels as the main plan.
Spanish-language channels
Spanish programming is sold in two different ways:
- Spanish Plan: a standalone plan with more than 28 Spanish-language networks, listed at $24.99 per month plus tax.
- Spanish Plus: an add-on with more than 25 additional Spanish-language networks for an existing main-plan membership.
“25+” and “28+” are package counts, not a promise that the same channels will remain forever. See Google’s Spanish Plan and Spanish Plus details.
Music and movie channels
Movie, music and additional entertainment networks are part of the broader channel mix and may appear in entertainment combinations or as individual premium subscriptions. Their inclusion is plan-specific; review the current channel card before subscribing.
What is the Sports Plan?
The Sports Plan is a lower-cost alternative for viewers who primarily want sports networks and local stations rather than the complete general lineup. Google says it includes the sports channels from the main plan and local NBC, CBS, FOX and ABC channels for in-market matchups where available.
It is not “all sports everywhere.” It does not automatically include premium league packages, every regional network or every out-of-market game. It retains the platform features Google documents for the service, including unlimited DVR, family sharing, multiview for supported content and standard stream limits. Google has also announced that Sports Plan subscribers will receive ESPN Unlimited at no additional cost later in fall 2026; confirm whether that rollout has actually reached your account before relying on it. See the Sports Plan help page.
Sports Plus, NFL RedZone and NFL Sunday Ticket
| Product | Best for | What it provides | What it does not provide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main plan or Sports Plan | Local-team and nationally televised games | Eligible local and national broadcasts through included networks | Every out-of-market game |
| Sports Plus with NFL RedZone | Whip-around Sunday coverage | NFL RedZone plus additional sports networks shown in your account | Full live games for every out-of-market team |
| NFL Sunday Ticket | Fans following out-of-market teams | Out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games | Every NFL game, local broadcasts, all postseason or nationally televised games |
NFL RedZone and Sunday Ticket are not interchangeable. RedZone jumps among scoring threats and key moments on Sunday afternoons. Sunday Ticket is intended for live out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. Local CBS and FOX games, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football and postseason rights remain governed by the underlying networks and schedules.

- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
NFL Sunday Ticket can be paired with any YouTube TV plan when purchased as a YouTube TV add-on, but it requires an active membership. Google offers seasonal, promotional, monthly and other purchase arrangements; pricing changes by subscriber status, billing choice and season. There is no single-team package and no weekly purchase option documented by Google. Read the current offer at NFL Sunday Ticket Help and confirm the final price at checkout.

Entertainment Plus: three premium services, important limitations
Entertainment Plus costs $29.99 per month in Google’s cited documentation and bundles:
- HBO Max
- STARZ
- Paramount+ with SHOWTIME
Access inside YouTube TV is not identical to direct access through each provider’s own app. Except for HBO Max, Google generally does not promise direct network-site or app authentication using YouTube TV credentials. Paramount+ with SHOWTIME has limited program availability through YouTube TV; the complete Paramount+ with SHOWTIME offering may require a separate subscription through YouTube Primetime Channels.
Some programs may arrive in the YouTube TV Library later than their original broadcast. Entertainment Plus has no free trial, although an individual network may offer one. Existing individual add-ons are not automatically converted: cancel them first, then subscribe to the bundle. Details are in Google’s Entertainment Plus documentation.
4K Plus is a feature add-on, not a 4K channel tier
4K Plus adds:
- 4K playback for eligible live and on-demand programs.
- Unlimited simultaneous streams at home under YouTube TV’s home-network rules.
- Up to three streams outside the home under the documented rules.
- Offline viewing of eligible DVR recordings on supported mobile devices.
It does not make every channel or recording 4K. The program, device, app and display must all support 4K. Google says the price varies; open Settings → Membership to see the amount for your account. See 4K Plus Help.
Other add-ons and YouTube Primetime Channels
Your Membership screen may offer individual premium networks such as HBO Max, STARZ, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, AMC+ or other products. Availability and pricing depend on the account, plan, location, promotion and billing platform.

- Breathtaking picture quality: Stunningly sharp 4K picture brings out rich detail in your entertainment with four times the resolution of HD. Watch as colors pop off your screen and enjoy lifelike clarity with Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
- Seamless streaming for any room: With Roku Streaming Stick 4K, watch your favorite entertainment on any TV in the house, even in rooms farther from your router thanks to the long-range Wi-Fi receiver.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
Do not confuse:
- YouTube TV add-ons: attached to a live-TV membership and billed through YouTube TV.
- YouTube Primetime Channels: individual subscriptions purchased through YouTube, sometimes involving the same brands but potentially different prices, catalogs, authentication and billing.
Google identifies 4K Plus, Sports Plus with NFL RedZone, NFL Sunday Ticket, Entertainment Plus and Spanish Plus as products that require an active YouTube TV plan when bought as YouTube TV add-ons. See Google’s add-on eligibility page.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to check your exact channel lineup
- Open tv.youtube.com in a browser.
- Enter your household ZIP code or confirm the home location.
- Select the plan you are considering and inspect its channel list.
- Compare ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and any regional stations with your market.
- Open your profile photo, choose Settings, then Membership to review available add-ons and the final price.
On a supported smart TV, open the YouTube TV app, select the Store icon near your profile photo, choose a channel or package, select Add channel and confirm. On the web, choose Settings → Membership → Add, review the price and select Buy. Existing members are charged a prorated amount from the add date through the next billing date, then the add-on becomes part of the recurring bill. Google documents these steps at Add or remove networks.
Prices, billing and availability traps
- Tax and promotions: Published prices are generally before tax and may change with promotions.
- Billing platform: Google Play, mobile-carrier and internet-provider billing can expose different plans or add-ons.
- Android limitation: Google says 4K Plus, Entertainment Plus, Sports Plus and AMC+ may be unavailable when the main plan is purchased through the Android app. Switching to direct web billing may require canceling and resubscribing, which can affect trials, promotions and billing dates.
- Core-plan cancellation: Canceling YouTube TV automatically cancels associated add-ons; do not assume premium access continues separately.
- Location: The home location, device-location permission and travel rules affect local channels.
- Rights restrictions: Unlimited DVR does not mean every program remains available indefinitely or has identical recording rights.
Which plan should you choose?
- Most households: Choose the main plan if you want local broadcasts, broad entertainment, news and sports with the simplest base for future add-ons.
- Sports-heavy households: Compare Sports after confirming local affiliates and required networks. Add Sports Plus for RedZone-style coverage or Sunday Ticket for out-of-market Sunday afternoon games.
- Spanish-first households: The standalone Spanish Plan is usually the logical starting point if you do not need the main English-language lineup. Choose Spanish Plus when you already need the main plan.
- Premium-entertainment households: Entertainment Plus is useful when you want all three bundled services and are comfortable with its in-app and Paramount+ limitations.
- 4K and high-use households: Consider 4K Plus only if you have compatible equipment, watch eligible 4K programs, need more than three home streams or value offline DVR viewing.
- One-network viewers: Compare an individual add-on or YouTube Primetime Channel before paying for a full live-TV plan.
Sources and current-price note
Channel rights and prices are volatile. The figures in this guide were checked against Google documentation available August 16–18, 2026. Confirm the plan card and Membership screen immediately before purchase, especially for Sports combinations, Sports Plus, Sunday Ticket and individual premium networks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does YouTube TV include local channels?

How many channels does YouTube TV have?
Google describes the main plan as having more than 100 channels. The count and names can change, and focused plans contain different selections.
Is NFL Sunday Ticket included?
No. It is a separate add-on for out-of-market Sunday afternoon regular-season games and does not include every NFL game.
Recommended Free Tools
Is NFL RedZone included?
Not automatically in the main plan. It is available through the Sports Plus package when offered on your account.

Can I buy Spanish Plus without YouTube TV?
No. Spanish Plus requires the main YouTube TV membership. The standalone Spanish Plan does not.
Does 4K Plus make every channel 4K?
No. Only eligible programs play in 4K, and your device and display must support it.
Can I buy add-ons without the main plan?
Most YouTube TV add-ons require an active main membership. The Spanish Plan is a notable standalone exception; YouTube Primetime Channels are separate products.
What happens to add-ons if I cancel YouTube TV?
Google says associated add-ons are automatically canceled when the core YouTube TV plan is canceled.
Why is a channel missing?
Check your ZIP code, home location, device-location permission, billing platform and current rights. A national network does not guarantee a local affiliate in every market.
Can premium add-ons be used in their own apps?
Access varies. Entertainment Plus has special limitations, particularly for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, so review Google’s terms before subscribing.
The Bottom Line
YouTube TV is best understood as a location-sensitive live-TV platform with a broad main plan plus focused plan families and add-ons—not as one permanent nationwide channel list. Check your ZIP code, distinguish Spanish Plan from Spanish Plus, distinguish RedZone from Sunday Ticket, and treat 4K Plus as a feature upgrade. The Membership screen is the final authority on channels, availability and price.
